Lovely area of Paris to stay in, close to a metro stop which is very handy and the area is quiet, we didn't hear any traffic throughout the night. Rooms are small (as to be expected in Paris) and well maintained, daily service from housekeeping and they left sweets in the room which was a nice touch. Staff could use... More

We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. We were very luck and had a wonderful double room on the corner of the hotel so had 2 sets of French opening doors! The hotel is a short enjoyable walk in between 2 metro stations. We didn't have breakfast included but found a lovely bakery less than a minute away, open... More

My adult daughter and I stayed here for a week. The twin room had two beds and a tiny bathroom. The room was clean and was in a great location for our needs. This area is not touristy. It's near 3 metro lines. There were grocers nearby and an easy walk to Père Lachaise Cemetery. We were able to explode... More

Dear "Cajolly", Take you for taking the time to write your review further to your stay at the Gardette Park Hotel. We are indeed located in an old parisian village at the doors of the most famous tourist places. The 11 arrondissement of Paris is now recognized to have kept its authenticity. Everything is in a human scale and our... More

The hotel is very nice and the personal is friendly. The rooms are very small but also very clean and filled with everything you need. WIFI was available and very fast. The doors are badly soundproofed. This could be better. Also the TV channels. Only french TV. No english, no German. The rest was perfect

Bonjour ¨Philadou¨, Thank you so much for your time, and for your kind review. Gardette Park Hôtel has been fully renovated in 2012. Of course it a very old building from the early 20th century, so I understand that the insulation system has to be improved. However, the Gardette Park Hotel is well known to be a quiet place, so... Stayed at this hotel for a 4 night city break, it lives up to all its claims, that it is a small, friendly boutique hotel with great customer focus. The standard rooms are small, but it is a boutique hotel in Paris, we booked a superior double which was perfectly adequate for a couple on a short stay. Only one... More

This hotel is really comfortable, great bedding, and really helpful people at the front desk. My only negative remark is about the doors, slamming each time someone is moving in or out, a killing for anyone jet lagged, playing the late bird...allegedly

Paris is all about where you stay and what you are looking for in a location. We went to Paris primarily to visit the recently reopened Pablo Picasso Museum, about a 15 minute walk from the Hotel. When we arrived, after an overnight flight from the US, the staff could not have been more helpful helping us check in. Even... More

A lovely hotel overlooking a quiet and charming park. The room was clean, comfortable ,recently refurbished and well decorated. It was not as small a room as in some other Parisian 3star hotels we have stayed in.The bathroom with shower was modern. We thought breakfast was good value. Ask for a park view as the area was very quiet at night ,so no... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
