There was an odd smell in our bathroom which wasnt very plesant. The rooms are small and cramped. I would recommend staying at a hostel over this place.

The Hotel Garden is in a nice area, it's cheap enough and is well connected for transports. However, it's currently under renovation which means that there is building work happening although this is only disturbing if you are planning a lie in. We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this 'hotel' which would more accurately be called a hostel. I think your experience would depend on which room you had been allocated. The old lady that works there was very friendly, but she just gives keys without any single word of english or explaining. The wifi didnt work, nor did the tv. paid 40euro for a double room so its a garbain! the hotel is very simple. nice and helpful receptionists working. its 5 minutes walk from st-ambroise metro station.
