The hotel is very nice and the personal is friendly. The rooms are very small but also very clean and filled with everything you need. WIFI was available and very fast. The doors are badly soundproofed. This could be better. Also the TV channels. Only french TV. No english, no German. The rest was perfect

We had a last minute change and the hotel provided 5 stars service. I am a parisian and the hotel is perfectly located in te best neighboorhood. The little restaurant Balls next is amazing. Thanks again for the understanding! Antoine and Coralie

Stayed at this hotel for a 4 night city break, it lives up to all its claims, that it is a small, friendly boutique hotel with great customer focus. The standard rooms are small, but it is a boutique hotel in Paris, we booked a superior double which was perfectly adequate for a couple on a short stay. Only one... More

This hotel is really comfortable, great bedding, and really helpful people at the front desk. My only negative remark is about the doors, slamming each time someone is moving in or out, a killing for anyone jet lagged, playing the late bird...allegedly

Paris is all about where you stay and what you are looking for in a location. We went to Paris primarily to visit the recently reopened Pablo Picasso Museum, about a 15 minute walk from the Hotel. When we arrived, after an overnight flight from the US, the staff could not have been more helpful helping us check in. Even... More

A lovely hotel overlooking a quiet and charming park. The room was clean, comfortable ,recently refurbished and well decorated. It was not as small a room as in some other Parisian 3star hotels we have stayed in.The bathroom with shower was modern. We thought breakfast was good value. Ask for a park view as the area was very quiet at night ,so no... More

We stayed here last weekend - our first break as a couple. The hotel is brilliantly placed - 5 minute walk to the metro and a good area. I requested a room overlooking the park and was lucky enough to get it with a mini balcony as well! You get great value for money as the decor and size of... More

The hotel is located in the 11th arrondissement, next to a small park. The staff is very friendly. The room is just fine and very clean. Both the room and the bathroom are small. The wifi is for free. At breakfast they have a small choise of everything. Yet I missed the fresh fruit. Just around the corner there is... More

I was quite disappointed by the size of the room which looked like the single bedroom and not the double bedroom showed on the pictures of the hotel website! I even check with the receptionist and it was indeed a double bedroom...Not the best for a romantic weekend though. However the hotel is well located and quiet. The bathroom was... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
