When we emerged from the metro we found the hotel right away, and there were numerous restaurants nearby. Our room was on the 3rd floor, so we were grateful for the small, but functional lift. Naturally the room was small, as most hotels are in Paris, but we had a view of the Eiffel Tower from our window! It was... More

I've been to Paris many times, and stayed in a range of hotels (from five-star to small basic ones). So I came to appreciate value - as many hotels in Paris are ridiculously over-priced for what they offer. Thus I recommend going to a basic hotel in a great location, paying a fair price and splurging on experiences and food... More

Had a good stay at this hotel, very small and rooms are tiny but they where clean and comfortable, lift was tiny would be hard to get two people in at same time, lovely view from the room and the location was great just around the corner from Eiffel Tower and metro station right beside. Shops & restaurants are walking distance... More

We had just one night in Paris, so we wanted a great location to be able to see as much as we could in the short time we were there. The Royal Phare was perfect for us. We could easily walk to the Eiffel Tower and the river as well as many great cafés and side streets. We stayed on... More

Very good location. Short walk to Eiffel Tower and even shorter walk to Rue Cler and Metro stop right out the front. Immediately around are a quite a few nice restaurants and a supermarket is right next door. Room was very small and basic but had a view of the Eiffel Tower. Have to buzz door 24hrs to get access.... Pros: many amenities nearby, including restaurants, bakeries, Kozy cafe, etc. generally quite clean, friendly staff, free wifi, fridge, room us small but typical for Paris. Good value, right beside metro stop. Cons: warm in the summer, no AC but there are fans, tiny elevator. We stayed here 4 nights.

The room was clean but small. It didn't matter much because we weren't in our room much. Ask for a courtyard room - very quiet. It is easy to trip when trying to walk around the end of the bed. The front desk was friendly. It is near Eiffel and the metro stop is right outside the door. Rue Cler... More

Wonderful location! Right next to the Ecole Militaire metro stop. Within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, Army Museum, and Trocadero. We were placed on the 6th floor of the hotel and we were so thrilled that we had a view of the top half of the Eiffel Tower! A little bit of noise with the window open but nothing... More

As far as the hotel goes, the lift fits one person and their luggage, the rooms are small and fairly basic. Everything seemed clean, didn't have much contact with the staff so cant comment there, nor did I try the breakfast. Where the hotel justifies its price, which is pretty competitive in downtown Paris anyway, is in it's location. The... More

A real disappointment: high price compared to poor services and quality. The only advantage is the position: central area, near the Ecole Militaire and Hotel des Invalides. Steep flight of stairs (luckily we just had one suitcase), ridiculous-sized lift, unenthusiastic staff. Our room bathroom, the breakfast room and the reception area were sufficiently clean, but the carpeted floors were filthy,... More
