We had a privte room which was very nice. We were impressed how nice bathroom was for a hostel had our own bath in room . But we did not like staying in monmartre. It is not a good neighborhood. I would not have felt safe walking through there late at night. The whole area is alot of small tourist... more

Le Village was the perfect hostel for my time in Paris. I stayed in two different kinds of facilities, one shared 4-person bedroom and one 2-person studio apartment. Both were fantastic! I had a great view of Sacré-Cœur through my window. The breakfast was great, the beds were comfortable, and most of the staff was absolutely wonderful! They were very... more

First, a note on location. I booked it without looking at a map of Paris, enticed by one of the best value-to-rating ratios I could find at the time, so I had no idea that the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, at the bottom of which this hostel is located, was so far away from the main touristy zones of Paris. The metro... more

There was some event going on in Paris and I couldn't find a hotel that could accomodate a mom with three small children who had to either stay in the same room or in connecting rooms. At 9, 6 and 4 years old, we couldn't split up into separate rooms. One receptionist at another hotel recommended the Village. No, it's... more

They don't give you sheets unless you pay for it, so you should have your own otherwise pay a bit more expensive (charges per night) If you have sheets, this hotel can be one of the cheapest in Paris. So if you are looking for cheap deal, I can recommend this place. Good points: The shared shower room was very... more

This was the worst place I have ever stayed! We tried to book a room in the hostel itself through their website but they were full and offered us 'le petit studio' instead. We took the room and when we got there we were taken outside of the hostel and two doors down to this old apartment block. We were... more

We (my boyfriend and I) only stayed 1 night at Le Village. We had low expectations for a hostel so cheap for Paris, but they were totally wrong. The hostel was nice, clean, well kept and the room was quiet with its own updated and clean bathroom. There was a lovely terrace too. Its a great location, just a 5... more

We stayed to Village Hostel (2adults and 2 young children) only for 1 night. Or course our expectations were not too much as we know that Hostel do not give you high quality accomodation! We booked through the web site and they have been very helpful and with quick email answers. When we arrived we met Mr. Santiago at the... more

We stayed there for 5 night's during our trip. We had a double private room with private bathroom overlooking the street. The beds weren't comfortable as we were sinking in the middle of the beds. We had a mild sore back in the morning. There was a constant noise coming from the ceiling which was a water pipe that was... more

We had a private room with twin beds that looked out over the street. The glazing on the windows kept out the noise so that is no worry although if the windows were open during the summer a light sleeper might have found the street noise bothersome There was an attached bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink - with... more
