Dorm room pretty basic but expected that. Really good value for money and very friendly staff. Great location for sight seeing and Montmartre/ Sacre Coeur especially. Has terrace area to sit and drink wine and chill out.

Also my two friends and I got upgraded to a private 4 person room which was greatly appreciated! Liked the welcome drink and the cool bar next door. Very cool neighborhood and well connected by... This hostel is very close to the metro station "Anvers" (line 2) and to Montmartre area; it can be noisy sometimes, but I believe it is still a good choice to stay there. Things that I liked: - the room looked clean and it was nice, I loved the red paintings. - the bathroom was inside the room, and it... More

I stayed here for a few nights had a great time! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and its in a great part of town with everything around that you need! I loved this place, a bohemian eclectic fun and vibrant atmosphere, and a super set of staff. Chilled out, helpful and all round good people. A welcome drink was offered in the trendy little hip bar attached to the hostel too and so many great people from around the world filled the walls with stories and more, adding an air... More

The hostel rooms are small and the breakfast average, but for a great price, you can get a clean comfy room really close to Sacre Coeur. Its not far from the metro and is in a very interesting area! Trip advisor doesnt have a " good" rating - but this is what I would put it. Better than Average, but... More

Pretty good for a hostel! I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and they even gave me a free drink card upon arrival (so- I might as well add that the bar has a good vibe and I had a lot of fun!). The rooms are as basic as you expect but not over crowded like you get at many budget hostels.... More

We arrived at La Village Hostel from Gare du Nord And we were surprised to say the least when we entered the building. .. We had never been to stay in a place quite like it before. .. The decor was scary and the loud music off putting. We were handed our sheets in a bag which was another first... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
