My wife and I stayed here on our 3wk eurotrip, being the first place we stayed. It was our first hostel so we didn't know what to expect, but it was nice to be greeted in English when we arrived. The attendants at the desk were helpful with checking in and letting us lock our bags up (we arrived before... More

We had a great time here. Montremarre is a cool area with lots of little shops and market style. It's pretty easy to get to where you need to as far as tourist attractions go. The best thing though has to be the staff. They'll help out with whatever you need them to and they all speak English. Baggage storage... More

Great hostel! Room: Spacious with huge bed, big bathroom. (We stayed in a private room) Facilities: Lovely patio. Well equipped kitchen. Services: Free coffee and tea stations, bread and breakfast. Transport: Metro (Anvers) 2 minutes walk, Next stops also walkable. For the same price as many 3 star hotels, the vibe, benefits and rooms far outweighed the hotel we stayed... More

The Good: Room was spacious with good AC (we had a private double with private bathroom…I don't remember the room number), clean bathroom, great view out the large windows, good breakfast (bread, croissants, jams, cereal, coffee), nice terrace with chairs The Bad: No towels provided (sheets were provided), location is very near Sacre Coeur, but pretty far away from everything... Just returned from a 3 night stay at Le Village Hostel...and it was great. We had a private double room which was situated away from the hostel itself off a nice court yard. It isn't the Ritz but it's was clean and comfortable and found the staff to be pleasant. Perfect location for exploring Monmatre.

Located in the middle of the textile quartier near Sacre-Coeur. They know there will be noise, so they provide earplugs and even sunglasses if you happen to visit in summer. We got a private double room facing the street, which was nice. Room size was OK, but it could be improved by fixing a broken mirror, changing towels every day... More

I was pleasantly surprised with Le Village. It was my first time staying in a hostel. We rented a private room. Very clean and right near the metro. Staff was friendly and helpful. The shower wasn't the greatest but would definitely stay again.

The studio, aka closet was about 75sqft living space. Kitchenette (not quite) bed(futon) hope your not over 5ft bc my feet hung off and back hurt in morning from thin pad and I'm 5'6. Oh yeah hostel is intermixed with random apartments which def are loud and overcrowded with very thin walls. So didn't sleep like at all. Wifi doesn't... More

I lived here for 6 nights in 8-people dorm (Room 103). The location is convenient, near metro 2 "Anvers" (5 mins walk) and nearest super market is just 1-min walk. (however, this hostel is very close to Sacré Cœur, so lots of visitors on the way to hostel, especially weekends) Private bathroom in room was clean but 8 people use... More

Out of the hostels I stayed in during my month in Europe, Le Village was just average. The staff were unfriendly and disorganized, although had good English, but were, in my opinion, unhelpful and unapproachable. The facilities themselves were fine and clean, but during my stay the fire alarm had issues... keeping most of us up until the small hours... More
