This is a very basic, cheap hotel. They are completely incompetent, avoid at all costs. I booked for three nights. However, on returning on the third evening, I found they were surprised to see me: they thought I had already left, although I hadn't checked out! They had failed to note I was there for THREE, and not TWO, nights,... More

Me and my boyfriend have stayed here for 5 nights. We chose this hotel because of the decent price and good location (which is really great). And these are all the good things I can say about the hotel. We also booked breakfast (4 euros per person), and although it was really cheap we did not expect yesterday's baguettes (to... More

stayed here recently and have to say that i thought it was a perfectly fine hotel in a lovely part of the city. very reasonable price and staff were quite friendly. you don't pay ritz prices, so you probably shouldn't expect ritz service or quality.

Stayed here during my first trip to Paris. It's not fancy, but it's clean, friendly, and has everything that me and my traveling companion needed to be safe and well rested at night before we'd head out for the entire day to see the city. It's very conveniently located, near shops, an ATM, a post office, the metro, and a... More

seriously substandard, at first glance it seems alright but within a few minutes I noticed they do not change the bedding there are so many different types of hair all over the bed right under the sheet and on the bedspread. The washrooms also obviously not regularly attended to . They claim they do not take credit cards because "the... More

Well basically it doesn't take rocket science to run a hotel, but it takes hospitable people who provide sufficient service, specially for 140€ per night. The area is great and has a lot of cafés and what not, but they don't take credit cards!!! That's insane it's Paris.... Also they wanted us to pay for all 6 night upfront or... More

When I read the other comments, i don't understand why people are so unhappy with this Hostel. Ok it's not a luxury one but please be honest : that's perfect for the price. I was happy to give my money to a small company that creates a relationship with the clients. I spent three nights there, and I will be... More

Ok: like someone else said, it's not the Hilton. But for 53 euro for a double room, this is a real bargain. Our room was pretty big, the bathroom was nice, warm and clean and we had a nice view of lovely Rue Daguerre (actually, even if the hotel was lousy, it would still be worthy because of this incredible... Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
