This was my first trip to Paris and I absolutely loved it - and this includes where I stayed. This hotel (kind of a mix between hotel and hostel) and is small but nice with all of the essentials (including free WiFi). It is clean. It is in a great location. And it is quite cheap, BUT... The service. There... More

Thank you for your comment We do have enough staff, including 3 receptionists + myself. Receptionists are available for clients from 7 h30 to 22 h30. We believe that customer service is important, and we have received Trip Advisor certificates in 2012,2013,2014 with excellent comments on Trip Advisor and other information networks. I personally spend a lot of times with... More

Hotel Marignan is located just a short walk from the Notre Dame and close to the metro and buses if needed. We chose an ensuite room and were happy to find a super comfortable bed + pillows and slept soundly as very quiet area. The room was clean and well serviced and although quite basic in appearance it was good... More

Stayed here with a high school group of 30 people and we were able to walk to the majority of our destinations. There were a few negatives about the hotel which I will get to in a minute but our overall experience was very good. Positives: proximity to Notre Dame, Cluny Museum, Pantheon, Jardin de Luxembourg, and many excellent restaurants,... More

We have only 6 flights of stairs. Most of the group were teenager. We have rooms with private shower and toilet. For those who take rooms more economical, you have to share the showers only with an other room. We will implement a more performing wifi system next week. Sincerely Roland KENIGER More

Stayed here 7 years ago with family. Returned recently for a few nights for nostalgia. The hotel was just as enjoyable as the first time. Can't beat the location AND the price. Extremely helpful staff who booked a shuttle to the airport and prepared a breakfast tray for my early departure time. No elevator is not such a bad thing... More

I accidentally left, a valuable necklace in a bathroom there. Not only were the cleaning staff, asked to look everywhere, the office staff left no stone unturned in the quest, When it was found, they offered to post it back to me in Australia. Just, amazing service and help, from all concerned there. Cheap rooms, a Continental Breakfast and free... More

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is within walking distance of bus stops, the metro, and the RER station. It is very close... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
