Great location near Pantheon, Sorbonne, Rue St. Germain etc. Friendly, casual ambience. Roland offers you a map, transportation info and advice on what to see and do. This small hotel lets you use the fridge, microwave, computer-even the laundry. One drawback for some folks is that there's no elevator but for me I needed to lose weight anyway.

Hotel Marignan is a quaint, friendly, clean, and inexpensive spot in the Latin Quarter. There were 3 of us and we had a nice triple room with private bathroom, shared shower was right down the hall. There were some perks that made me glad I chose this hotel--free wi-fi, basic breakfast, free laundry use, free tickets for Seine boat cruise,... More

Stayed here 3 nights with 5 total people. Great place, free simple breakfast, free laundry, clean rooms, decent wifi in the room. Staff is very helpful with anything you need. I would stay here again.

I wanted to feel like bohemian in Paris' Latin Quarter without feeling like I was in a slum. This hotel feels authentic, while being spotlessly clean and recently renovated. The beds are also extremely comfortable. I had a single room and shared a bathroom, both were cleaned regularly. You are in walking distance to all major sites and I would... More

We came back as it is great accomodation if you're after no frills but a great location. Breakfast is part of the package and all staff speak English and we found them very helpful regarding the method of public to catch each day. Free self serve laundry is available to guests and you can also use the kitchen as and... More

Note that this hotel/hostel does not have elevators. Do not recommend for people with any injuries. Staff was pleasant. Included breakfast was simple but delicious. The croissants were fresh and picked up daily from a local bakery. Site includes a kitchen in case you're on a budget and would like to cook. Some of my friends took advantage of this... More

Stayed at this lovely hotel and were wery pleased. Good Paris location and staff that were very service minded. A nice bar as well. Its in the hart of the city and basically close to everything. I hade a room with a lovely bathroom - big with both a shower and a nice bathtub to rest in after hours of... More

My wife had stayed here with our four children in 1985 and had a dleightful stay. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed this small, value oriented hotel. There is no elevator so be prepared to climb the circular stairway, two, three or four floors. The room is comfortable, also the beds. The bathroom is small, typical of many with... More

In the city of lights all you need is a place to lay your head and rest, and you'll find no better place to do so this cozy little hotel. The great location makes it the best base for your tours of the city, and when you get back you'll find a simple yet clean and comfortable room. Along with... More

Have stayed with our family of 5, and many times as a couple, this clean 3 story hotel w/ charming décor (being upgraded) has a variety of rooms to suit all. Regardless of no elevator/tv (who needs it in Paris?), as a budget traveller consider breakfast is included & use of full kitchen + appliances, washer/dryer, wifi, printer. It has... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
