During my stay at this hotel, the apartment next to the place we stayed was under renovation. It was very noisy and we did not have a good stay there for 2 days. Besides, we also booked another room at block B, the design of the room is very inconvinient for us as there were a few senior citizens. The... More

Upon arrival you can only checkin altogether with the other guests at 3:30pm, no reception or anybody to talk to upon arrival. What's more scary is the steep stairs going up to the rooms considering that I have big luggages. Also very disappointed because having five of us in a unit and only one device can connect to wifi at... More

Les Patios du Marais are very well situated in close vicinity to the Centre Georges Pompidou, right around the corner of the Marais proper. In contrast to some of the earlier ratings on here, we did not have to wait for admittance at all and were greeted upon our arrival at the arranged time. That being said, there are quite... More

the location of the hotel is great, you can walk everywhere you want to. the metro and bus stations are close. there are also several markets and restaurant nearby. don't expect a classical hotel room. the room was a lot smaller than it looked in the photos. it has everything you need, a small kitchen and a small bathroom but... This is a complex of apartments near a lovely area near the Rue des Archives. We found check in poorly executed, with harried staff who obviously wanted to be minimally helpful. Ran out of basics such as hangers, took significant time to respond to issues, and we're not present on premises except at times of crisis. Sound proofing nonexistent, which... More

I agree with other reviews. The location is brilliant, but ... The shower has no water pressure, is incredibly small and doesn't seem to have a middle setting (either scolding hot or freezing cold). There are fish moths crawling along the bathroom floor. The bed and pillows are in desperate need of replacement. The walls are paper thin, as are... More

The apartments are very nice and located in a beautiful garden court just at the board of Marais neighborhood. The location is great, quite and safe; you have a metro station within 2 min walk and many interesting things to see at walking distance. The forniture is nice even if the apartment is quite small for 4 people. Unfortunately the... More

The location is fantastic, the apartment was nice (thankfully we are not very tall, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are > 1.85m. Check in was terrible, don't come before 3.30pm because they let you wait outside. Didn't see the owner. Had to pay in advance, our key magnet wasn't working so we had to be lucky some other... Dear Sanne, Thank you for your comment. However, I owe answer the critics concerning the service. As we told it to you in our letter of confirmation, the welcome is made only by appointment and from 3:30 pm because we are not a hotel. Les Patios des Marais are a private residence which contains at the moment 38 apartments what... More

The apartment is very small, no room to move. We stayed there for 4 nights. The apartment was located on Level 3 with no elevator , and very narrow and multiple winding staircases feels like more than 3 levels. The apartment had very high security, had to go through 3 sets of gates and doors to get to the apartment.... More

Being able to stay bang in the centre of Paris at such affordable rates cover up all the negatives of this "private residence". However, just to recount a few things travellers should be aware of this place: 1. The check in time is extremely restricted. They don't allow check in before 330 pm on the date of arrival. And there's... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
