The breakfast was astonishingly poor for the price paid (16 euros)... There wasn't bread enough for everyone and the meat does not look tasty. The room was ok, very small but ok. However, its price was also expensive. The location of the hotel is the main asset.

I stayed here for two nights-room only, a couple of weeks ago. I was travelling with friends as we came over to participate in the Paris Half Marathon. We were right beside the Madeleine metro. The hotel itself was lovely. I was in room 502, which had balcony which allowed me to step out and over look the streets. Some... More

Hotel was idealy based. Very small room with 2 single beds instead of double which I booked! However the room was spotlessly clean and staff are friendly. I would of liked to see tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms.

This hotel is located in a great location. the staff is wonderful. the hotel room was small and cramped, the lighting was horrible. the bathroom was great, beautiful newly renewed. the actual room was just ok. there were not nearly enough electrical outlets. there was only one available outlet and it was on the floor, near the door. the wifi... We stayed 3 nights and it was perfect. Very clean, kind staff, good location as it only takes 5 to 7 minutes by walking to the beginning of Champs Elysees. However, the rooms are very small and we booked online from their website including breakfast and when we were checking out they charged us again 16 Eur per night per... More

Great location. Everything within walking distance. Easy to go shopping and drop of your stuff without loosing time... very happy with this part of property. But the room was nothing like the ones we saw in advertised pictures. Really small for a triple. No actual room to leave a suitcase open. The bed was uneven. So that you rolled towards... More

I stayed at the Hotel Massena while on a roadshow through Europe. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was OK, nothing special, but everything I needed was there. I have stayed in several hotels over the years in Paris and this is one where I would not hesitate to return. The breakfast buffet was also quite convenient. The... More

I juste stayed in this hotel one night while being on a business trip. The personnel is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very tasty. I will surely stay here again on my next business trip to Paris!

As others have said, it's hard to find a great, inexpensive hotel in the center of Paris. Does such a place even exist? Hotel Massena was such a place. We loved it, and the charming little top floor rooms with a queen and two twins were perfect for our family of four. The breakfast was great and the location was... More

It is very hard to find an a decent hotel room in central Paris for a family of 4 without costing a fortune so we were very pleased with Hotel Massena. They have two family rooms on their 6th floor that can fit 4 people in full size beds. We loved our room 601 as even though the room was... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
