There is something very charming and romantic about this hotel. The reception area is very warm and welcoming, with a small bar to the side. The staff were very very friendly, kind and warm. They all spoke English fluently and there was someone on the desk 24/7. Our room was possibly one of the smaller rooms, but it was really... More

My husband and I had a romantic weekend in Paris January 2016. Hotel St. Jacques was a great place with excellent location. Good restaurants in the area, a block from Boulevard St. Germain, minutes from Notre Dame. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was delicious. We had some champagne, an Armagnac... More

Adjacent to the Sorbonne and convenient to restaurants shops and an open air market, the value of this hotel is superlative. On top of this the accommodations and the staff are true Parissiene. Highly recommend for a traveler looking for an authentic experience.

Stayed here for our first anniversary. The location is perfect, easy to get to from airport via metro. Close to the metro so all attractions are easily accessible. Most places can be visited on foot. Didn't find many decent restaurants nearby, mostly tourist traps. Staff were extremely friendly. The rooms are very small but reading reviews to seems that most... More

I just had a single room under the roof. View through small roof window was towards other roofs on the backside. The room was clean but needs some refurbishment - old carpet, worn easy chair. Bathroom was modernized and clean. The whole house is a bit over-decorated in Toulouse-Lautrec style. Breakfast was good with friendly service - though in cellar... More

We arrived at this hotel hours after the attacks on Paris ,despite what was going on around us we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by the receptionist, Theodora. Theodora was always there to help us with any and all of our requests. The rooms were very nice and very clean. All of the staff were so friendly.... More

This was my second stay at this hotel (the first being with my family in 2011), and I have just booked a third for a family trip upcoming in December. My visit in October was a solo business trip, however. I was transiting Paris on my way back to the U.S., and I had only 24 hours in Paris. The... More

Highly recommend this hotel. Full of Parisian style. Very clean and tidy. Rooms have everything you need - extra pillows, safe, toiletries, tv etc. Each room has fantastic long windows which open where you can sit on the wide window sill looking out to the street. I loved this. The staff are very friendly and will help you in anyway.... More

this hotel is located in the Latin Quarter, it is walking distance to Notre Dame church and the Pantheon. the location is wonderful, cafes and restaurants across the street, (you can go across the street and have a expresso every morning) an open market sets up down the road 3 times a week. In that same area are beautiful bakeries... More

Lovely small hotel. Well located and in excellent condition. We arrived at about 11 am after an overnight flight and really appreciated being able to check in right away. Friendly helpful staff. Good restaurants within walking distance. Would go there again and recommend it to our friends who want something other than the big chain hotel experience. The room keys... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
