Hotel Saint Jacques is a lovely hotel, very French, with lovely decor. The room was somewhat small, but comfortable and clean. The location is terrific, one block from the metro, and an easy walk to Notre Dame. The staff were very nice, and helpful, storing my macarons in the refrigerator in the bar. Highly recommend.

I researched endless hotels for our first visit to Paris, & kept coming back to the Hotel Saint-Jacques. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for booking this absolutely charming boutique hotel. I knew when we arrived & saw the decor of the lobby we were in for a treat! I had requested a balcony room for... More

I found this place in a hurry online and glad that I did. I was only staying one night. They have one single room that was exactly what I needed.. very charming! Very close to the steps from the movie Midnight in Paris.. I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

It's a very nice, beautiful decorated hotel. Not so big, but very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Room has WIFI and Airco, works good. In the centre of Paris, very close to metro. In the neighbourhood you can find nice bars and restaurants.

Stayed at the hotel in early July. Room was small, but air-conditioned and well-maintained. Staff was great, very helpful. Breakfast was worth the money. Location is excellent, lots of restaurants and a fabulous market nearby.

Location could not be better. The room had traffic noise but there are rooms away from the traffic. We are used to a king size bed, but the beds were small. This is the norm in Paris. As the Hotel is very close to the Sorbonne, we had the unexpected opportunity to visit the University. Overall the Central location of... More

I have now stayed here on three occasions. Every time I've been warmly welcomed by exceptionally helpful staff and had a great night's sleep in a fantastic room. I really loved my quirky room over two levels this time. Think it was my best stay yet! I height recommend this hotel!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in July and we were so glad we booked here! The location was amazing. We were in a less busy area where we could walk to restaurants and shops and get a true feel of paris and a very short walk to the Notre Dame. Walking to the Eiffel Tower was... More

We stayed at the hotel in early July for 5 nights and enjoyed everything. The staff and front desk were all helpful and our room was a good size, ( we stayed in a standard room ) and the balcony overlooking the rooftops was a lovely bonus. This hotel is central to all Paris has to offer and close to... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
