this is a mid size Marriott hotel, well located. The lobby is welcoming, and luminous, direct access to a nice bar and restaurant, with WiFi. I like the rooms too, cozy and confortable, more like a little homee studio than an impersonal hotel room. the day was sunny, and the Japanese shade in the room was giving the sensation to... More

The staff was helpful from the time we made reservations until we checked out. They helped us book excursions and did a lot of leg work to help us out. The hotel was in a great location. The room was really clean, spacious and modern. The breakfast was very nice.

We travelled in July. Wanted to be in Paris for July 14 and also see the fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in Paris, our very fist time in Paris. We loved the location and the old style of our Hotel. We had a room on the second floor facing the main... More

Located in the Latin quarter. It is close to everything - food , sight seeing, metro stations . The rooms are decorated in a classic style and you need a key to enter the room. The hotel feels very French like and makes you feel you are in Paris.

Located in the Latin quarter, Saint jacques is perfectly located, close to several metro stations and the markets, bars and cafes, all within walking distance. The rooms are decorated in a classical style. It was the hotel that Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant stayed in the film Charade.

The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, plus the hotel located very close to metro station and cafes which are completely safe and convenient for a single traveller. The room was amazing, the decoration and the view were magnificent. Recommend!

Despite booking a room for three it was a double with a fold out bed so we were a little disappointed. However we managed, and were pleasantly surprised with how quiet the room was despite the corner location. The location suited our needs and we were able to walk to all our sight seeing and shopping destinations. Would consider this... More

There was no more enchanting way to begin our love affair with Paris than by staying at Hotel Saint Jacques in the Latin Quarter. From the friendly and informative receptionist Fabienne, to the breakfast room and sumptuously decorated bedrooms, we discovered this part of Paris. Notre Dame Cathedral, food markets and stores are all within walking distance. Highly recommended.

I loved this hotel before I realized that it was the same hotel where Audrey Hepburn stayed in Charade (who doesn't love her?) and now I love it even more! Walking into this hotel is like stepping back in time with modern amenities, of course! And location is wonderful--it's literally two blocks from the Pantheon and the Jardin du Luxembourg... More

This charming hotel was featured in Hepburn's film Charade, and it has lost none of its appeal. Decorated in a Belle Epoque style, it has grace without ever being stuffy. Immaculately clean, elegant and warm, with attentive staff and terrific breakfasts. Wonderful restaurants nearby and a short walk to Notre Dame.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
