Hotel is located in the heart of the city.. 5 min. walk to Odeon metro. However, I suppose that is the only good think abt the hotel. Furniture is very old. The room looks like an old university dorm or a hostel but not like a 2* hotel. I stayed in other 2* hotels in Paris and know the standard.... More

Stayed in this hotel in November 2013. It is ideally located for the Louvre (10 mins walk), and across the road from the exhibition centre, which reflects on the price. It is hugely over priced, as the rooms are very small, and looked a bit like university halls of residence. The room does have a DVD player, which needed a... More

The hotel is located in the heart of St Germain. Close to great restaurants, shops and nightlife. We walked pretty much everywhere. Only a 20 walk to the Louvre. The hotel itself isn't that great. We had no AC in the room. So if you're planning to visit during the summer months, do NOT stay there. We had a great... More

This hotell has a very good situation, located in the heart of St-Germain des Pres, on the left bank, Paris. Do you like nostalgic retroathmospfære back to "THE Vogue 60 Th Filmdirectors artistic Vibes" , then this is Your hotell, if you only can afford a fairly low but decent price,(Saint Germain is a very expensive area in Paris). The... More

This is a small hotel with 5 floors and an elevator. The reception is at the first floor (only accessible with stairs). The stairs are small. Behind the reception there is a small lobby with a television. Not all rooms have the same size. The individual rooms are very small. The bed is smaller than 2 meters in length, there... More

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP! This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The noise from the street below is from all night partiers (many bars in the area) - wrapping up at 6 am, then the street cleaners come through. No A/C, no fans. Roasting with the windows closed to TRY to... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. For us, it was totally worth it. When we are on vacation, we spend very little time in the hotel room (other to sleep). The room was very small, and hotel basic, but we spent all of our time exploring Paris, so it wasn't a big deal. The noise was not... More

The rooms are really tiny and the noise level is definitely not good for light sleepers. Though the metro stations are near, but it is still away from major attractions. Bathroom is so tiny, you can only wash 1 leg at a time. ;p. Didn't get the breakfast but many options for breakfast in the surrounding restaurants.

If you've stayed in European hotel rooms, then this hotel will be as expected. No frills but a good price (101euros for a single), clean, safe and great location. I booked based on reviews on tripadvisor, dreading the noise as other reviewers had stated. I had an interior room and there was one night where I could hear distant thumping... More

This hotel certainly was no frills. Easy to locate after getting off the metro at Saint Germaine des Pres, we had to drag our luggage up a flight of stairs to reception (thankfully there is a lift from there to the 5 floors). Customer service was perfunctory and short (despite attempts to smile and greet). The room was adequate size... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
