This hotel is conveniently located near the Saint Germain metro station. The only downside is that you hear the metro run underneath the building. However, this didn't really bother us. It was actually kinda calming after hearing it a few times. Very quaint rooms, but for the price it's a great value. Small elevator and skinny spiral stair case up... More

I liked in this hotel its location and friendly staff. Although the breakfast has a very limited number of food types. Room was small, but had radiator and it was possible to get a comfortable temperature in the room.

I stayed at this hotel with my family for Paris visit. The room was compact. Overall stay was good. However, the lift was too small like the spiral stair case. The room had a balcony which was good. The toilet was clean. The hotel was OK for a budget stay in that locality.

This hotel like most Paris hotels is small. The rooms however are well appointed and there is a bathroom. Handy to the Metro and a range of small restaurants. It was no residue smell of smoke in the room and it was clean. The gentleman who is on at night is warm and friendly and speaks English well. Day staff... More

Our stay at this hotel was enjoyable, the staff were helpful and assisted us in every way. Our room was always clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and beautifully made each day. Our bathroom was spotless. The gentleman at the front desk in the evening was so helpful giving my granddaughter her daily French lesson. The lady in the... More

Tiny even by European standards. Clean, nice bed linens, only fair for bath linens. Air conditioner worked wonderfully - we had one day over 100 degrees F. We had to stay in all day not going out until 2100 for dinner. Elevator down about 20 hours and only staircase is spiral up center of building. Quite unpleasant walk up. Would... More

This hotel located vely nice place to sightseeing of Paris. However the room is narrow so I opened my suitcase on the bed. And maybe build on the subway line, little bit noisy. I can sleep but I don't recommend to nervously person.

The location was the absolut best thing about this hotel, only 10-15 minute walk from the Louvre. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but there was a nice little café just next door. The service and atmosphere was friendly and helpful. Considering the price this was a great hotel.

I must admit, I didn't realize how tiny hotel rooms would be in Paris, but who stays in their room when you're in Paris? The Hotel de Saint-Germain is a small boutique hotel that is perfect for a single traveler or a couple. My stay was perfect and I had nothing to complain about whatsoever! The bed was comfortable, the... More

Just came back from a short stay in Paris. Perfect hotel -clean and tidy. Great location just about metro and Saint Germain de Pres where you can find all restaurants. Only minus was some food smell in a room. Breakfast not included and very expensive. Not worth to pay if you can eat twice more for this same money in... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
