My wife and I spent two nights in this small establishment over Valentine's weekend. On our return to our room on day two we discovered my case had the lock broken off it. Thankfully we had all our valuables with us and we had only left clothes in the case. When I brought this to the attention of the staff... More

I hate writing bad reviews but it's part of the whole process of sharing experiences and tips. The staff at Hotel Saint Germain was a delight, very attentive and friendly, can't complain about that. And the location is perfect, rue du Four, is just a stroll away from the lovely Latin Quarter. And the price I got online (89 euros... More

Really lived up to expectation. After reading some great reveiws and finding not all of them were as they appeared it was refreshing to come here and find that the reveiws were right. Perfect location, walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes, churches, metro stations etc. Clean and well appointed room (small but that is to be expected!). Breakfast was lovely. I... More

It is centrally located to all places of interest in paris. It is accessible through multiple metro lines and has 4 stations within a stone's throw distance. Very courteous staff and a very cosy hotel. It has very clean and neat rooms and bath rooms. They take particular care of maintaining the hygiene levels.Must stay place for people who want... More

Because of the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. I stayed in room 65, on the top floor with a tiny terrace and a view. The room was very clean, comfortable, cozy and flooded with light. Both the room and bathroom all very small, but typical of this type of hotel. The size of the bathroom might be... More

We found this to be a very well located hotel that was convenient, safe, friendly and clean. The air conditioning worked, the small lift worked, everything worked! Some have said they were bothered by the metro's rumble, we were just the opposite. It was like being lulled to sleep by a softly rumbling thunderstorm. We loved having so many cafes... More

For the price and location this is a great hotel to base yourself in to explore the St Gremain district. I would bother with the breakfast in the dungeon, instead I would go out and enjoy the greta pastry shops or have breakfast at the many cafe options on St Germain - the people watching is fantastic!

This is a classic weeny but friendly hotel right in the centre of Paris in Saint-Germain. The rooms are boring but clean, have pretty balconies and are only 60quid a night. There is a friendly gentleman on the reception telling all the guests how gorgeous they are. The location is ideal for restaurants, cafes, bars and is only 10/15 minutes’... More

room small but I understand most are...had what we needed...although ask for kettle to make tea etc.....Location was perfect.....exactly what we wanted....would definitely stay here again!!! and ask for a high floor so not to hear metro as much...we were 5th floor and could hear a rumble but didn't bother us at all.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
