I wanted to write a review after the first night of our stay but decided to wait, and now a 10 night stay later, my highly-esteemed impression of this establishment has still not changed. Hotel Baume has a beautiful yet compact way of placement and arrangement. Though the reception desk and lobby is small, it is perfectly open-plan and airy... More

The hotel is in a good location close to the Odeon theatre, some great restaurants, cafes and small shops. We booked two rooms one on the third floor and one on the sixth with a small terrace and comfortable outdoor furniture. Our rooms were compact, beautifully decorated with a good sized bathroom, shower over the bath. We had fresh towels... More

Thank you very much for his very nice review! The housekeeping service is really pleased to hear this praise of their work ! It is true that we have a daily turn down service that can make your stay even more comfortable! Indeed the hotel is perfectly located and central to any place of the Latin quarter . We are... More

This hotel is located in the vibrant Left Bank. It is close to the Metro/RER Luxembourg. It is very easy to take the RER from CDG right to Luxembourg. Also, this metro stop connects to Gare du Nord. The hotel reception staff was pleasant and helpful upon arrival. We arrived hours before check in time and they let us in... More

Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review of your stay at our hotel. Surely, our location is a characteristic to be appreciated. Your description of the left bank of the river has such accuracy, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves. This area is vibrant and full of people, restaurants, movie theatres, and attractions such as the Pantheon or... More

We were originally supposed to stay at another hotel, which had lost our reservation. Luckily, we were saved by Sara and the staff at Hotel Baume! Everyone we encountered were friendly and wanted us to have the best stay possible. We loved the location--especially being close to the beautiful Luxembourg gardens. We highly recommend it!

Thank you very much for commenting on your rather unexpected stay. It is unfortunate that your reservation was lost at a different hotel but Sara and our team were more than happy to help you in your time of need. Each individual that works at Hotel Baume has a very welcoming and inviting personality. Therefore, the friendliness of our staff... More

The great location, close to Latin Quarter, close to both metro Odeon and RER Luxemburg. Nice decor hotel, clean and cozy room. Completely white bathroom!!! Very friendly personnel. They helped booking boat trip, advised nice restaurent nearby. There is no fridge in the room but the personnel delivered an ice by call. Very comfortable airconditioning in the room and in... More

It is wonderful that our location pleased you. The Odeon and Luxemburg metro stations are a short distance from the hotel and provide much convenience. For travelers that fly into Charles de Gaulle or Orly airports, the Blue line RER B travels directly to the Luxembourg stop which is only a 5 minute walk away from our establishment. Therefore, if... I was travelling solo and the staff was excellent in helping my navigation. Torrance, Sandrine, Frederic and Edouard were all professional and very helpful. I cannot say my room was big, because it wasn't, but every inch of space was used efficiently. Best shower....only missing a bathtub, but I was assured I could request one earlier in the reservation process.... More

So I've stayed for six nights in this perfectly located boutique hotel. It's plonk in the middle of the fashionable left bank, close to the Boulevards St Michel and St Germain. The room is cosy, but ample for two people. The beds are brand new. Some rooms have a dark ambience due to the odd wallpaper, but certainly lack nothing... More

We were happy to look after your needs during your six night stay. It seems that either you were already familiar with our area, or you had the opportunity to get to know it very well while you were here. It is great you found your room to be comfortable and cozy. I was in town for fun with my husband and another couple. Very stylish and elegant, the rooms were super clean and had unique styling. Wednesday 19th June, 5:30 am: After finding this hotel via a Genius offer on booking.com, I called the hotel to check the floor level and specifically request their combination of best room/lowest floor for the offer. The girl who answered was polite and helpful, and understanding of my discomfort with high floors. She advised that the best low room that... More

It's unfortunate you stopped communicating with us once you found out we could not give you the room you thought you had booked. As noted on your booking confirmation, you booked a Junior Suite with a view onto the patio (or garden). Our Junior Suites are all on the 5th or 6th floor. Room 37 is a Suite with a... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
