We had a most lovely stay at the Hotel Baume. It is a stunning jewel-box of a property. The room, while small, was very well conceived and super comfortable. That bed! It is on a very quiet street. I heard almost no noise from other guests. The small bathroom had the most amazing water pressure, lovely white tile, super towel... More

Spent a little more than I had hoped to on a Paris hotel (about $250 a night) but it was more than worth the splurge. The hotel as well as the street it's on are peaceful and quiet - a real refuge from the tourist hubbub, but still extremely convenient. The staff has been highly polite, unobtrusive but always eager... More

This hotel is really lovely. Our family stayed and we loved the rooms and the location is excellent. The decor is really well thought out and the bathrooms also great. Amy, in reservations helped us make our bookings and made our stay perfect. Many great restaurants are nearby. We give this gem five stars!

My travel agent found this hotel for me and it was perfect. It is fully renovated, clean, and comfortable and the location is perfect. But the staff is outstanding. They made us feel welcomed and appreciated. They went above and beyond all expectations. One of my friends became very ill after we had checked out of the hotel and left... More

Hotel Baume is a very charming hotel. The hotel is one of the excellent hotels in the groupe "les hotels Paris Rive Gauche". I have visited two other hotels in in the same groupe and I have not been disappointed. The location of the hotel Baume is excellent with the jardin du Luxembourg just at the corner, theatre de l'Odeon... More

My hubbie and I went to Paris for our anniversary and stayed 4 nights in room 64. Its just amazing with a wee balcony. Sadly as the weather was super cold we didn't get to use the outdoor area that much but the staff left us blankets and seat covers just in case we could. We were presented with a... More

What an amazing find!! My husband and I just got back from staying at Hotel Baume for 4 nights and we had a GREAT experience! I had been to Paris before, but my husband hadn't so we were looking for somewhere centrally located with a Parisian feel (also, somewhere not in the middle of a tourist trap area). After doing... We stayed at Hotel Baume in December 2014 for three nights. I was looking for a hotel which offered a quiet location close to the centre. Hotel Baume certainly delivers this and more. The interior design is lovely and the staff all seem very proud of the Hotel. It's a small, cosy and comfortable place to stay. The Odeon station... More

I had the chance to stay in this hotel for one night. At the reception, the girl who was there at 8 am (Sunday, December 14th 2014) was very kind, warm and professional. She led me to the room, describing on the way the hotel and the services they offer. Once in my room, she explained me the history of... More

This small hotel was everything that I imagined a boutique hotel would be., Situated in a neighbourhood away from tourist sites but close to the metro, restaurants, with independent shops near by. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful. They made us feel welcomed, not only in their hotel but in Paris. By the time we left we knew their names... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
