Our 1st time staying in the Hotel Baume, after staying in another hotel 2 years ago. Excellent staff, clean modern rooms that are typical for Paris. Very central, but quiet. A little bit more of a hike to the sites....but that's what Paris is about. Highly recommended ...

My husband and I were delighted with our three-night stay at Hotel Baume. We arrived from CDG late morning after a red-eye and they had our room ready for us, which we greatly appreciated. All staff speak English and are very helpful and accommodating. Our standard room (#16) was beautiful and sophisticated and more spacious than I expected. We just... More

My third trip to Paris & this time solo for Easter 2015! I arrived jet-lagged from Australia & was greeted by Amy who escorted me to my beautiful room! Awaiting me in the room was a bowl of French roses, my fave food...ginger beer, figs, & chocolate cake an Easter surprise from my husband & son back in Oz! In... More

We had a most lovely stay at the Hotel Baume. It is a stunning jewel-box of a property. The room, while small, was very well conceived and super comfortable. That bed! It is on a very quiet street. I heard almost no noise from other guests. The small bathroom had the most amazing water pressure, lovely white tile, super towel... More

Spent a little more than I had hoped to on a Paris hotel (about $250 a night) but it was more than worth the splurge. The hotel as well as the street it's on are peaceful and quiet - a real refuge from the tourist hubbub, but still extremely convenient. The staff has been highly polite, unobtrusive but always eager... More

This hotel is really lovely. Our family stayed and we loved the rooms and the location is excellent. The decor is really well thought out and the bathrooms also great. Amy, in reservations helped us make our bookings and made our stay perfect. Many great restaurants are nearby. We give this gem five stars!

My travel agent found this hotel for me and it was perfect. It is fully renovated, clean, and comfortable and the location is perfect. But the staff is outstanding. They made us feel welcomed and appreciated. They went above and beyond all expectations. One of my friends became very ill after we had checked out of the hotel and left... More

Hotel Baume is a very charming hotel. The hotel is one of the excellent hotels in the groupe "les hotels Paris Rive Gauche". I have visited two other hotels in in the same groupe and I have not been disappointed. The location of the hotel Baume is excellent with the jardin du Luxembourg just at the corner, theatre de l'Odeon... More

My hubbie and I went to Paris for our anniversary and stayed 4 nights in room 64. Its just amazing with a wee balcony. Sadly as the weather was super cold we didn't get to use the outdoor area that much but the staff left us blankets and seat covers just in case we could. We were presented with a... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
