This hotel was great value for money. We stayed with 2 kids for 2 nights, mainly to sightsee and go to euro disney, so we did not spend much time in the hotel. The staff were great, friendly, welcoming, and even provided adaptorson request to charge our phones....There is an old fashioned pulley lift in the lobby....the kids loved it.... More

The hotel was recommended by friends who've stayed there many times before. The price is right. The entry is charming. They promote religious freedom in Tibet - which meant a lot to my friend. In good weather there is a small courtyard. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay overlooking the courtyard that would have been quiet - the room... More

This hotel is old, and run down. The bathroom had hair on the floor and toilet, the bedspread had red stains on the inside. Triple room didn't not fit three people and the electricity was out for the first hour. The gentleman at the front desk is not very friendly or helpful and the 'free' wifi costs a euro a... More

the hotel is the worst of all i have ever seen. its dirty. rooms, coridors, reception, bedspreads, pillows, pillowslips etc.. the stuff is never kind to your any questions. there is no reason to stay here; even its location is good. the money you pay should be 10 euro to be able to speak about the cost ...

Be careful. It's cheap, conveniently located and the staff are helpful but there is a whole wing of three floors without an elevator. Make sure you don't get this like we did for two nights, without warning. Breakfast generous and good. Have noticed other reviewers stayed in the "front" wing and were happy. Would probably look elsewhere next time.

Visited this place in the end of September. Advantages: good value for money, closeness to metro, Opera, Monmartre and La Fayette, cosy and authentic reception and lovely patio to have breakfast. Disadvantages: very small room, old rooms with awful bathroom in 3-floors building (while rooms in the other building are normal), poor breakfast (much better variants nearby can be found... More

The staff at this small hotel was friendly, accommodating and happily spoke English in response to our questions. The staff knew the area well and gave great directions. The lobby and breakfast area were a lovely blend of quintessential Parisian and New Age Eastern, with soft Asian music and a light touch of incense. Villa Fenelon has a beautiful garden... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it! It's a small typical French hotel, which is what we wanted. Our room was on the 5th floor with views out towards the back patio. The decor was nice and the bathroom modern with good water pressure. This little gem is in an old building, but there is one elevator (maximum... More

I enjoyed my stay. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the Metro. The guys on the front desk speak English, they're friendly and helpful. I got there early and was given complimentary coffee service. My room was clean, lots of towels and the bed was comfy. Plus my room overlooked the garden. I'd stay there again.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
