Handy enough to walk 10 minutes from Gare du Nord. Rue Buffault is a quiet street off La Fayette. Nice room with minibar but no tea/coffee making. Bed comfortable and good size bathroom. Didn't eat in but breakfast is available for 8 Euros and looked pretty good. Nice outlook onto courtyard so minimal traffic noise. Staff spoke English and were... More

My 2nd trip to Paris and both times stayed here. It's not the fanciest place, but location is great (near Cadet Metro Station) (near Guard NordTrain Station). Both times I stayed in the original section, so next I may ask for a room in the back building. But I have to say the staff makes it so much better as... More

My wife and oldest daughter were in Paris for four days in April and had a wonderful time. We stayed in a triple room on the fifth floor. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the Cadet metro station line 7 which takes you directly to Louve or Les Halles. Or you can take the 2 km walk... More

The hotel is very clean and the staff were friendly and very accomadating. The area is surrounded by good restaurants. They also serve free breakfast and the food was pretty good. I highly recommend Hotel Villa Fenelon

We have stayed quite a few times. It is a convenient location for our needs. Staff are friendly. It is well priced for a hotel in Paris. Some of the rooms could do with an update although we had a new bathroom. Thank goodness the mirror tiles were gone.

The first time I stayed here the rooms were basic but service was friendly and location good so I decided to come again. The second time here the guy was so incredibly rude I nearly left without staying the night- DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE BEING TREATED WITH CIVILITY

Overall, considering the price, you get what you pay. Nothing fancy, but a wonderful location. Upon check in we were advised that breakfast was not included. I could not find it on my reservation, although I really believed that I had seen it somewhere. Low and behold, I return home and go back to their website and there it is!... More

Stayed there with wife and 2 kids. Great position ,near to the opera theatre and lafayette mall.Thats it.....our room was horrible, (see pictures for details) Window had problems closing, broken mirrors, holes in the bathroom. We had an argument with the reception because they run out of towels and instead of solving the problem the guy was rude. For the sake... More

The Villa Fenelon is like a cross between the Palais Versailles, the set of a Bridgette Bardot movie and a 1920’s bawdy house. I’ve never seen so many mirrors, walked into so many mirrors, or looked at someone off in the horizon and realised it was me reflected to the Nth degree in mirrors. That said I enjoyed its bijou... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
