I spent 4 nights at this hotel late December 2014. Hotel is located near Luxemburg gardens on a small quiet street, so sleeping quality is good. Hotela has good commuting position for visiting Paris atractions. Stuff is pleasent and helpfull. Rooms are clean and with decent space but hotel in overall is "tired". Buffet-restaurant is very small and offers only... More

I had the worst experience ever with a female recepcionist in the moment of checking out. My plan was to pay in cash and when i gave her a 500 euros note (i had to pay 420) she tells with the most rude manners that she didn´t have change, that she wasn´t obliged to have change so i had to... More

We were sent to this hotel after our chosen hotel stuffed up our booking. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise and we stayed for 7 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful and had good English. The location is excellent, right near the Jardin du Luxembourg and the shops and restaurants of St Germain and the... More

We did a great job by selecting this cozy, clean, nice place as a base to our honeymoon, absorb and discover Paris for the first time. Staff is welcoming and very helpful for our 7 day stay. With God's blessing we would very much like to return and stay in this place. We highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with some colleagues, during a business trip to Paris and it was chosen on our behalf by the French institution that was hosting our trip. The two good things about it is its central location (next to the Luxembourg Gardens and close to the lively neighborhood of st germain de pres) and... More

So disappointing. I am French-American, and after my stay at this hotel I have a new found appreciation for the service you receive in the USA, especially at the price we paid. Based on the photos I had seen, the overall ratings I had read, and not being a particularly picky person.. I thought this would be a great stay.... More

An ideal base in the heartland of the South Bank with an old Parisian air to it: As close to the gates of Luxembourg gardens as can be, a stone throw away from Odeon Theatre and Boulevard Saint-Michel and a 10 mn walk to the Montparnasse area. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful I recommend rooms at the top floors... More

This hotel is the perfect base from which to discover Paris. In a great spot, stone's throw from the Jardin du Luxembourg and yet still in a nice, quiet street with cafés, patisseries, St Placide metro station and a small supermarket close by. The hotel itself has very friendly, welcoming staff and nice, clean rooms with wifi and everything one... More

We booked this hotel since it's close to the Jardin du Luxemburg. Looking at their website it also looked great , considering price range. Our deluxe room was 220euro per night. When we arrived we weren't even asked for any form of id, which was a bit strange but the worst was yet to come! Room was so tiny there... More

Shabby hotel, bad smell in both our rooms made is leave. This hotel needs a renovation and a stylist. Bathrooms were new but that did not help. I would not walk barefoot on the carpet and the bad smell made us feel sick.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
