Hotel as for its price approx. French breakfast only coffee, tea, toast, jam and croissants. Large minus the hotel is only one elevator. Big plus for the location close to the subway, supermarket and many restaurants.

The hotel is well located but very old, with furniture literally falling apart, doubtful hygiene and, the worst of all, it provides NO security. The rooms are accessible with magnetic key cards, but there are no cameras on the hallway or anywhere. Someone entered our room, opened the our two suitcases that were locked - probably with a master key,... More

You get what you pay for.!!. Room was spacious but linen and furniture was worn and tired. Bathroom was OK though. The view from the 5th. Floor was terrific !! Reception staff surly, cleaning staff cheerful and helpful. Location is what this place is all about . Good restaurants, bars and transport close to hand. No point in having breakfast there.... More

We used this hotel as a cheap hotel option in Paris in the first weekend of March. It was easy to walk to many famous attractions including the Eiffel Tower from here. Montparnasse is a vibrant area with many restaurants and bars, with great transport links too. The Tour Montparnasse is a huge tower which you can see from everywhere... More

We got a really good deal on this hotel. With that said, it is a basic room. The mattress was new and very comfortable. The carpet was new. The shower was great. The cleaners do an excellent job on day to day cleaning, but there was some old dust in the places you don't look like the tops of picture... More

Perfect location, super-friendly staff, especially an Italian man from the front desk who always smiled and was unbelievably nice. Rooms are clean, and I can still remember a house keeper named Annie or something like this who was very sweet. Also, the room was SO big, and there were always hot water for the shower. Breakfast - fresh continental, just... More

Although the hotel seems to be old and needs a renovation (the elevator for example), but the room was clean and the neighborhood exceptional (a few meters from the montparnasse tower). The personal were quite friendly and the price was not so high compared to the other paris hotels in the same category. I asked for the prices of some... More

This hotel is a shame. The location is quite good, and that's the only good thing about it. The hotel is terribly dated, and in desperate need of renovation. The rooms are not clean at all, the sheets are dirty, the maids and reception staff are rude and breakfast is disgraceful. I paid 85 Euro per night, which is much... More

I chose this hotel off the internet because of the amenities and location compared to price. We stayed there for a week during the end of September 2006. The ONLY good thing about this hotel is its location in the heart of Montparnasse area, but so are many others… When we arrived, we found out that the safe deposit box... More

A nice small hotel, very convenient location, very close to two Metro stations, one of them a central one -Montparnasse-Bienvenue. The hotel is also close to the Tour Montparnasse. Lots of restaurants nearby. The rooms are small but very clean and include a bathroom and TV. There is an elevator. The staff was helpfull. We have found this hotel a... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
