Hotel rooms are not spacious in Paris. I enjoy bigger rooms, so I book one of the "suites" of Ducs d'Anjou every time I visit Paris since I discovered them. I come back every few months, mainly for the cultural events in Paris. The location is perfect; most sites are within walking distance, metro is nearby. The pedestrian street in... More

Most Americans do not understand that things are different abroad. Most notably the size of hotel rooms, you get what you pay for. We found this hotel to be a very pleasant surprise compared to one we stayed at last year. We splurge for a bigger room and we were very happy. When you book, make sure you get a... More

We stumbled across this amazing hotel thinking to just stay just one night and rent an apartment the next day but we ended up staying for 8 nights and loved it. The Staff was amazing, helpful, friendly and willing to accommodate you in any way. I want to thank Anatole and Audrey: Antonat and for being my right hand in... More

I have stayed here 3/4 times. Very central location, walking distance to much of what folks go to Paris for. Staff speaks English and are friendly. Street side rooms have a nice view, rooms in back are more quite. Its a little tricky to find so print a Google map before you go.

The website seduces you into thinking this is a sophisticated, charming hotel. It isn't. The rooms are almost unacceptably small. We had carry on luggage for the weekend only, and didn't have enough room to unpack. The bathroom was too small to dry yourself in, and you couldn't sit straight on the toilet it was so cramped. The mattress was... More

We stayed in this hotel as the last stop in a trip around Europe. We booked the Junior Suite, and it was everything that we hoped it would be and more. First of all, I must mention the staff who were all lovely and very welcoming. They even had the good humour and patience to try and teach me some... More

Despite the location being great we were let down a great deal by this hotel. On arrival we were informed about breakfast, where it was, timings etc, but not told that there would be an extra charge for this. The website was extremely misleading and we felt it had been advertised as included in the price paid. We were faced... More

I don't want to start on a negative so, the location was perfect, the staff very friendly and helpful. The reception was very clean and neat and there was a lift. We stayed here for our honeymoon after booking via their website and seeing the fantasic rooms. I booked a 'Deluxe King Size Room' and what we got for £200... More

This hotel doesn't look anything like its website, but apart from that, is a real find. It is perfectly located right beside Les Halles and minutes from many of the main sights. The streets around are pedestrianised and quite lively, so no problem walking back at night. The rooms are small but the facilities are good - a huge walk-in... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
