I read the reviews before going and was concerned about the problems others reported about overbooking. I had booked for 7 nights, chose the hotel for its location, and got there just before 2PM. Sure enough, they were overbooked for that night and asked if I'd consider a different hotel for just that night. I had day trip plans for... more

Positives: - Accessible Location - Reasonable room rates with breakfast included Negatives: - Small cramped rooms - Slightly unsavoury location - Building work going on at the time Went to Paris for the weekend, and chose this hotel after noting that it was reasonably priced, included breakfast, and the Tripadvisor reviews weren't too bad. All in all, it was decent... more

Standard French hotel room. Clean, decent size, plenty of hot water. At $88 for a double room, it was a good value. A long but definitely doable walk to the Marais, Beaubourg, Les Halles, Montorgueil, and other right-bank districts, as well as the Nord and Est train stations, and right next to the Strasbourg-St. Denis metro station (which allows good... more

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. While booaking I went for the room with two seperate beds costing GBP90 on weekdays as compare to standard costing 20 quids less. My intention was to get more space as we had our 3 year old son with us. Room was on the second floor, reasonably spacious and clean as compare... more

Date: June 28, 2008 Reveiwer: Tripadvisor member, Edmonton, Canada My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Best Western in June 2008 on our Europe trip. This hotel is located on the busy inrtersection of Boulevard Sebastopol and St. Denis in Paris. With the room windows opened, you can hear a lot of traffic noise. We closed the windows, turned... more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 20 nights. Our room (#32) was large by Paris standards with a large bed. The hotel is clean and tidy but what made me want to recommend it is the staff. From front desk to cleaning staff they were helpful and friendly. The daytime weekday front desk staff were fluent in... more

Stayed for 3 nights in October 06. Comfortable and very convenient, next to St Denis metro stop. Hotel staff friendly & unobtrusive. Continetal breakfast was adequate, though small dining area. We had a corner room on the top floor, spacious, well decorated, clean and modern en-suite. Great room for people watching on the street below, including the prostitutes in the... more

I booked a room in August 2007 at this hotel via the Best Western website. When I arrived I was told that the hotel was overbooked because of 'an internet problem' and that a room had instead been reserved for me in the Hotel Mercedes in the 17th, nowhere near the hotel I had booked. After I protested, and after... more

I just came back from Paris and had an excellent time at the hotel. I stayed there for one week. It was a nice size room (we had 2 twin beds) with an in-suite bathroom. Staff was helpful but didn't know much about the area. They were very willing however, to help us find places where we knew the addresses.... more

Stay away - you will be conned, lied to - unless you want to experience lousy French customer service at its absolute worst. I know France well - I was shocked. We had a v.bad time due to Best West'n on our wedding anniversary. This is sad; I trusted the brand. The staff here appear to have a con with... more
