Location very good. Nice restaurants around. Room was small, but clean. Bathroom bigger than usual when we visit Paris. The nearby Bar du Metro not good, two beers and two small glasses of red wine: total 28 euros.

I stayed in the Super hotel in September, as a couple. We were paying nearly €100 a night, so expected decent quality. Upon a brisk check in, we discovered a tiny room. I asked was a swap possible, it wasn't. The room wasn't clean (we found an old apple under the bed), dusty surfaces. We could hear next door talking,... More

Hotel was clean, rooms were small, parking was expensive but to be expected in Paris. Reception staff were very unhelpful! If staying here I recommend eating at the Indiana restaurant just over the roundabout, amazing food!

This is a very small hotel. The front desk although only one spoke a little English of the 3 we encountered they still were all very helpful and courteous. There is a public bus line right across the street that starts at the hotel and finishes at Eiffel Tower and vise versa. It was perfect for the 2 short days... More

We stayed 4 nights at Super Hotel - and we had a great time there. The staff was very helpful and spoke very fine english. The hotel might be a bit worn - but it is clean and quiet - and we really enjoyed our stay there. Very close to Gambetta Metro station, 20 minutes and you are can be... More

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay in Paris. My familly and I had a fantastic trip thanks in part to the personel of the hotel. They were very helpful in providing advice where to go and what to visit. The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station and a lot of businesses... More

The hotel has good connection with subway transportation, is right next to Gambeta stop, the room was really small, the decor is 70's but it was clean. The gay on the reception desk was really helpful and fluent in English. Good free WI-fi connection. Not for a romantic trip in Paris, but OK for just sleepovers.

The whole place is decorated like a cheap porn movie. The staff are unhelpful. I speak french, but with an accent, everytime I greeted them in French they responded in English. I asked about the wi-fi, they said it was my compuer that didn't work properly even though it was a problem with their network. I was breastfeeding at the... More

The hotel location is great, very close to a metro station, and in a fairly lively district, with several cafes, restaurants, bakeries, regional "traiteurs" and other shops around. Staff was ok. I had a single room, which was VERY small (room 44). With a double bed in the middle you didn't have a lot of space to move around and... More

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighborhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
