We travelled to Paris for a birthday. Not knowing where to stay we settled on Le Squara for it's location and price, as we not want to be in downtown Paris. The hotel is very clean, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, especially Flavie who responded to our emails before our arrival! But everyone was great!... More

This was a brilliant choice. Located behind an uninspiring door this gorgeous boutique style hotel offers peace in the centre of Montmartre and adjacent to a metro station. Beautifully furnished in an art deco meets rustic style the rooms are rather small (as is the lift) but offer all the comfort you need. Breakfast was simple but very good and... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last week. Couldn't fault it. Absolutely brilliant in every way. I travel a lot with work and stay in hotels 5-10 nights a month and this was a very refreshing change from the bog standard hotels you get everywhere. Soul and character abound and in a very interesting area with loads of life.... More

My stay in this hotel was a little bit short (2 days - because of bussines), but It was love at first sight..I can tell. Everything was clean and the staff was really friendly. The big interest, is the location - close to the underground station and the the Moulin Rouge, which is actualy behind the corner!! THe only thing,... More

A lovely little hotel in a very good position with very friend,y and helpful staff. The rooms are small but are very clean. The decor is amazing and interesting. We had a safe and small fridge in our air conditioned room. The only criticism would be that there is very little storage in the bedroom but acceptable for a short... More

I have just returned from 4 days in Paris with my husband and some friends, we all stayed in Le squara and all loved it. We decided to upgrade rooms as we read that the rooms are small, we are glad that we did as they are pretty small. We had two large suitcases and I think we would have... More

Very nice decor but literally you could not swing a cat in the room. Very uncomfortable. Excellent location, can be bit noisy but that doesn't bother me. If you like and early night and watch a bit of TV then only one English speaking station, very annoying.

We booked for 1 night a few days before the new year and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is really beautiful and has soul, compared to hotel chains for exemple. The beds are really comfortable and last but not least, the staff was really helpful, especially Laura who gave us advice on what to see around. We had... More

The location in Montmartre was great but the rooms were tiny. Apparently the room we first got was an "upgrade" but we had to place our suitcases together next to the door so we could walk around the bed, thus requiring frequent movement of the bags to get out the door! The decor was nice but the rooms absolutely tiny.... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
