A lot better than we expected. Great location, near metrostation and Gare du Nord (also Starbucks, supermarket, McDonald's, few nice bistros and brasseries, 10mins from Galeries Lafayette by foot). Rooms are very simple, but ok. Staff wasn't that rude, they were helpful. Breakfast was very simple; boiled eggs, coffee/tea, cereals, croissants. Wi-fi 5€/24hour, 1€/half hour.

We arrived, checked in, checked out and found another Hotel! The walls, floor, cieling, elevator, stairs and almost everything seemed to be falling apart. It felt dirty and disgusting. The room was really small and looked dirty and the radiator was set to maximum and was not adjustable.

A place to leave aside… Infrastructure is falling apart, a shower that spreads its water in any direction, except yours. Shower door doesn't close... A room (room 23), called suite, of no more than 10 sqm Heating equipment that is coming half of the wall, taped back. A hairdryer that is taped together. A staircase which once must have been... I stayed here for 3 nights as a single traveller and found it OK. It was part of a package with Eurostar and is just a 1km walk from Gare du Nord down Rue la Fayette. I was put in a room on the top floor which was very small. The bathroom was tiny also. One complaint is the shower... More

We came to the hotel with no expectations because of the price. The room was OK - no air-conditioning, refrigirator or coffee set. It was clean and the beds were good. location - not so good but close to the metro and some restaurants. not noisy. BUT The service was terrible!!!!!!!! The shower wire was broken on our second night... More

I cannot believe that this hotel is still being used by virgin experiences . My husband was given a long service award and we chose a virgin experience two night Paris cuisine break. This hotel was part of the package. Our room was on the top floor the view from the very small window was of drain pipes and ducting.... More

Booked this hotel last minute for a short eastern visit. Booked the hotel via booking.com and it clearly stated they will NOT charge my credit card in advance and payment is to be made at the end of your stay, i figured out later that they charged my credit card anyway, even before i left for the weekend trip !... I took my husband here for a romantic break via a virgin gift experience. He must think I hate him. The location of the hotel was the best thing about it. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were made to feel unwelcome. The rooms were small and in need of refurbishment . Our view was... More

Good hotel and location for my family visiting of 4 Paris this summer. Don't fall for the scam the older gentleman manning the checkout counter tries to pull, as he tries to charge you for breakfast and/or wifi when you are checking out. If you agree upfront when you checkin to the hotel for these services, you should be able... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
