We were in a musty room with a sloping ceiling at the top of the building. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed covers were dirty and the room dusty. The 'white' net curtains had turned black from dirt. The bathroom was the only decent area of the acommodation, but had no shower curtain, so water went all over... more

My sister-in-law booked this trip through Expedia and I am sure I would have booked it also on reading Expedia's description. Our rooms were not available on arrival leaving us to trail round a very hot Paris having been unable to freshen up after travelling for several hours. When eventually our rooms were available in the evening we were appaled... more

The location of the hotel is excellent. 10 minutes from the opera and also 15 minutes from the monmarte. Relatively to breakfasts in France, the breakfast was good: it had croissants, baguets, orange juice, coffee, tea, yogurts, cornflakes and eggs. The room was very small but the bathroom was nice and clean. On the other hand, in the first day... more

Paris is an expensive place to stay so you'll do well to find a hotel much chepaer in such a good location. However, the rooms are pretty grim/motel life. The reception area has about as much charm as a football hooligan on steroids and the receptionist makes basil faulty seem like a true professional. When asked if he could book... more

I had mixed feelings about the hotel since I saw that half of the reviews were good and the other half did not give it much credit. I decided to give it a try anyway. For starters the staff are ridiculously arrogant, I was overcharged and the room had NO HEATING. It was also extremely noisy all night long! Definitely... more

we stayed in this quiet hotel, quadaruple room. Small but adequate. Very friendly desk staff who appreciated our attempts in french. Well located close to metro. Clean, tidy but a very small lift. Challenging for a four storey hotel, although the staircase spiral all the way up. Worth the climb! more

Staff , especially receptionists behavior is unfriendly and arrogant. It happened that we did not get even daily toilet accessories and once after arriving in... more

While the room is very clean, I can still say that I paid too much for this hotel. The description as a first class hotel is nowhere close to a first class hotel by American standard. I was told that the hotel has aircondioning, not true there is no AIRCONDITIONING SYSTEM at all in my room. I booked the room... more

I can recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. I arrived at Gare Du Nord, via Eurostar, and it was in easy walking distance from there and easy to find, just off Rue Lafayette. From the moment of my arrival (I was a woman travelling alone) I was treated courteously and found the staff never tired of my many questions and indeed were... more
