My friend and I stayed in this hotel for two weeks in November 2014, in a twin room. The room had just about enough space. Pros included that the hotel is located near the pigalle metro. It is also in walking distance of the moulin rouge, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and bakeries; and a 20 minute walk to... More

I always say that all I need from a hotel is a place to take a shower and to sleep in. It is important for me that the room will be clean and commuting will be good. This hotel answers both and that was enough for me. The staff were very nice, breakfast is very basic but not bad (you... More

Its really not worth spending, specially if you are travelling with your family. No doubt its located nearby all the major attractions , which was what I was attracted by..but other than that nothing seems right about this hotel....right from the breakfast table to the quality of rooms provided. And to add to all those frustrations, really dont understand the... More

Recently, our school went on a trip to paris where we stayed at this hotel. The pictures online are very deceiving and we were very surprised at the rooms we were given. The triple rooms were decent with reasonable bathrooms however the double rooms which most of us were given were sickening. The bathrooms were small and wouldn't lock. The... More

The Grand Hotel de Turin is in a reasonably pleasant area of Paris with a lot of cafés, mini supermarkets & fruit shops close by. Pigalle Metro station is a five minute walk away. Sacre Coeur is about a ten minute walk away. Our room, a triple, was very basic with three narrow single beds. The pillows were flat with... More

Room 001 on the ground floor has a wet room and space to charge 2 powered wheel chairs overnight. No steps/lintels to impede access, breakfast expensive staff helpful. Internet costs a few Euros per 24 hrs. Carrefour 400 meters away provides cheap makings of breakfast and snacks

Montemarte is a colorful, atmospheric district. For a reasonable price, Grand Hotel Turin puts you in the heart of it. And the nearby Pigalle metro station connects you to all the rest of the city. My room was newly refurbished, clean and fresh. The compact ensuite bathroom was well designed, with shelf space for toilet articles and hooks to hang... More

I arrived at the hotel and was pleasantly impressed. The front desk clerk was friendly and kind. He mentioned he expected me because his friend called him to tell him I'm coming (I stopped at another hotel for direction). My room was really small, so I'd recommend it for a solo traveller. It also had some bleach stains on the... More

We recently stayed here from September 3rd to 7th. The room was filthy. We had to have clean sheets put on bed as there were stains and hairs on them. There was mould and dirt in every corner. The room was not updated at all. We have stayed in a lot of hotel rooms and this is the worst I... More

We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples for 4 nights in September 2014. Worst hotel experience of our lives. The rooms were old, poorly furnished, not clean, mould and cobwebs, stained furniture, wallpaper and paint. stained bedding, a tub with the finish worn off, a hair dryer that looked like a vacuum cleaner, no air conditioning, cracked toilet and sink,... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
