Le Senat is in a quiet position very close to the Luxembourg Gardens, near some good restaurants and about 5 minutes walk to the Odéon metro station. It is attractively decorated and furnished, with a pleasant reception area, in part of which there is an 'honesty bar' where you can have an 'Express breakfast' (coffee, pastries and a bottle of... I stayed here with my daughter and grandson a week before Christmas. The hotel staff were amazing, polite, helpful and very friendly. The room was quite small but very clean and modern. The location was perfect for walking to local attractions and only a 5 min walk to Luxumberg train station. There was plenty of shops, restaurants and bars surrounding... More

Wonderfully friendly service and super-comfortable room are the big draws at this charming small hotel. The hotel is typically Parisian with small rooms, but some that overlook the street with balconies (highly recommended). While the breakfast is limited, the hotel is close to many bakeries and restaurants. It's also close to transportation and near the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. I would... More

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. The location is very close to the Luxembourg station on the RER line B, making it very easy (and cheap) to get to and from CDG Airport. It's walking distance from almost everything we wanted to see, and a short walk to the metro (Luxemboug or Odéon) for everything else. The employees (front desk,... More

The hotel is situated very close to the Luxembourg station, and it takes about 5/10 minutes to walk to it. We arrived around 11am at the hotel and our room was not ready (check in is normally at 2pm) This was no problem however as the staff took our bags and stored them until the room was ready, which let... Paris was the first stop for our honeymoon trip. We took the metro and walked a short distance to the hotel, which worked perfectly. This walk goes right past Luxembourg Gardens, as well as several restaurants. The room wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but the front desk staff happily stored our bags, and we went exploring the Luxembourg Gardens.... More

Hotel is in walking distance to Notre Dame...about 5 to 10 minutes. Room 603 even has a view of it. 603 is a two level suite with a street view and a city view. We stayed at Hotel Le Senat with a group of people from work. About 10 rooms in total. Everyone was really pleased with the hotel, although some were given smaller rooms then others. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
