Stayed here for 3 nights our first time in the city. When we arrived, or room wasnt ready. The staff were really nice, held our bags, gave us a map and a few ideas of things to do that were walking distance from the hotel while we waited. By the time we got back, our room was ready and our... More

Dear valued guest, Thanks you for your very nice comment about Hotel Le Senat. About your arrival, it is always difficult if you arrive the morning because our guest can leave their room at noon instead of 10 or 11 am for many hotels, so after we need the time to clean the room. Thanks you very much for your... More

Hotel Le Senat is a wonderful little hotel in the heart of Paris. The rooms are small, as to be expected in Paris, but delightful. My favorite features were the towel warmer in the bathroom (pure luxury!) and the "Honesty Bar" in the lobby fully stocked with wine, beer, and liquor. You write down what you've had to drink on... My Wife and I stayed at Hotel le Senat for a night in May 2015. It's within easy walking distance of lots of nice restaurants, shops, and no more than 5 minutes walk from the Odeon metro stop which is very handy indeed. Notre Dame and many other attractions are also within walking distance. We paid to upgrade to room... More

We stayed at Le Senat for a very short weekend the end of April…meeting up with a brother and his wife in Paris…it was very memorable and fun. The hotel could not be in a better location looking down the street to the Luxemborg Gardens….just wish it had lasted longer. We had a balcony which gave us some more room,... More

From this hotel you can walk easily into Latin Quarter, Notre Dame and Pantheon so location is very good. Service was friendly and efficient, and hotel and room were spotlessly clean. Proper size bed with comfy mattress, and L'Occitane in the bathroom. The room was a mite small, but that is too be expected in this area of Paris at... More

This is a well run little hotel in Saint-Germain-des-Pres. My room was very clean, and the bathroom was nicely equipped for the usual small room that you get in Paris. It's location is great, within easy walking distance of lots of nice restaurants and the Odeon metro stop. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and my stay was quite... More

We stayed at Hotel le Senat for four nights. Paris can be renown for tight accommodation but we can happily say this hotel proved that theory wrong. So impressed with the room, it was on a high floor as requested and spacious. Separate rooms for the shower and toilet. As other reviewers mentioned, the toilet is quite small however manageable.... Beautiful hotel with helpful staff. Beautiful rooms and decent wifi. They also provided us with a baby crib for free. Lots of wonderful restaurants close by and parks. Only complaint is that the Toilet area was tight and elevator was small (we had some issues moving our baby stroller in and out)

Dear valued guest, Thanks you for your nice review. It is true that hotel Le Senat is well located in the hearth of Paris with many restaurants around. Also on left bank, building are very olds from the 16/17 century, and buildings from this period were not very large, it could be an inconvenience for some people today. Thanks you... More

Comfortable room and good location. Staff was very nice and helpful with directions and suggestions for where to go (and not go). WiFi went down, which wasn't ideal and the AC was really twitchy (my room was quite hot at night), but otherwise this was a good spot for a few days.

We travelled to Paris to celebrate our anniversary and chose this hotel due to its location and good reviews. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
