I have often stayed at the Folkestone Opera next door so when I could not get a room there I thought I would try the Royal Opera. Yes it is a bit "olde worlde" but that is part of its charm. I like to stay in the 8th District and this hotel is perfect. Room good size for Paris standards. Friendly and accomadating staff. I stayed for 1 night now in January and will definately return on my next visit in September.

Hotel Royal Opera makes a LaQuinta look like a Hilton. The room was super small and smelled musty. We had to open the window to get some fresh air in and help get rid of the smell.
