We had a long weekend break in Paris and picked Jules et Jim because it looked a little unusual compared with the usual run-of-the-mill Paris hotels with rooms no bigger than your bed and no facilities. The hotel and the staff surpassed all our expectations and really made the stay. The location is great within easy striking distance of Le... More

Stayed here with three girlfriends on a city getaway in April 2015. We stayed 3 nights in two Jim rooms and loved it! One of the rooms was on the 6th floor facing the street. It was not very big, but beautiful designed, very clean and tidy. The other room was in another building facing the cosy courtyard. This room... More

The web site looked great, very funky and hip! Price was not great but we were hoping for a great venue. On arrival all was fine in reception, friendly staff checked us in. I'd booked what I thought was the largest room in the hotel! It WAS the largest room in the hotel and it was still tiny! And I... More

Dear Sir, We are deeply sorry to read that you had such a bad stay at J&J. There were 3 problems, begining with the most important : The first one is related to the bad contact you had with one of our receptionists because you didn’t get any answer when trying to call the Hôtel. Writing that it lasted 90... More

Firstly, I travel very extensively throughout the world. When I checked into this hotel I couldn't believe how small the room was, it was positively claustrophobic, and literally you could not swing a cat in the room. I should have measured the area of the room to give a little more clarity, but I would be very surprised if the... More

Dear Madam, It is always sad for us to read that one of our hosts lived a bad experience at J&J and we sincirely regret it. You stayed in the room 81 for one night and you were two people. As you mentioned it, this room is smaller than the others. It is clearly explained on our web site :... More

I typically stay at another hotel closer to Hotel de Ville but saw excellent reviews of the Jules & Jim and decided to give it a try. I loved the hotel. The rooms are very efficiently designed (I stayed in room 14 - second floor overlooking the inner courtyard) with luxurious sheets, soft but supportive beds and the best shower... More

Discreet and understated designer hotel in the feelgood Marais district of Paris. Located on an urban street which seemed mainly populated by industrious oriental luggage traders. Very quiet at night. Reception is a desk masquerading as a bookcase at the end of a subtly illuminated corridor. Accommodation is either in the main building or in two separate blocks either side... We loved this hotel and were sad to leave it. The staff member who greeted us was very nice/friendly. The building itself is nestled in a quaint area, but is truly modern and feels like you are treating yourself. The room we were in wassmall but felt very efficient, and I can not even explain how cool the design was.... More

This hotel is awesome. It's a true boutique. Elevator opens up right into your doorway. Rooms are small, but it's Paris, and they are very well appointed. Power outlets everywhere, fast wifi, comfortable beds, great shower, balcony, separate toilet room from shower/sink. Also, the staff is fantastic. Emeric made a week's worth of dinner reservations at great spots. Lastly, the... More

We had a 'pod' type room of great design accessed by an individual lift stop. Comfortable and quiet facing the our typed. Breakfast in converted workshop at back. Bar closed at when we got back at 12 which was a bit early. Otherwise great place to stay a couple of nights in the Marais. Walking distance of everything.

The design and feel of the hotel itself and our room was exquisite -- contemporary, attention to detail at every turn, very stylish, cool artwork, always comfortable, sparkling clean. We loved the Molton Brown bath products, the shower that I wished we could have taken home with us (spacious and rain shower + handheld option), a super comfortable bed, our... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
