Upon arrival in Paris we were taken by it's beauty but also daunted by the size of such a large city. We arrived at our hotel and were greeted at the desk by Fabio who immediately made us feel welcomed and at ease. I am so grateful that Fabio was so kind to us as we began our wonderful experience... Good place for sighseeing. Fabio on the reception, always give you the good idea for the daily trip. The breakfast opportunity is miising, but you have many many possibilities on street. I recommend it for long weekend with the family in Paris.

The location in Latin quarter is wonderful. We loved the pub across the street and we were not bothered by noise. Rooms are sparse but clean. Front desk did try to sell us on river boat trip. We bought it. It was fun and fairly cheap. Go there for the location. The tub/shower combo would be a challenge for folks... More

spent a very comfortable night in this two star latin quarter hotel. clean room, friendly staff. slightly worn decor but loved the painted walls in the public areas and the spiral stairs had great charm - not at all dangerous as one reviewer suggests. i always take earplugs when travelling so wasn't bothered by any noise. on a cold february... Had a very dispppointing stay at this less than comfortable hotel. Receptionist very rude and ignored us for the first few minutes while he ate something. Very hard sell for trips in paris and no interest in what we wanted to do. Room was tired looking and 3 floors up a dangerous staircase although there is a lift it was... More

The Location is excellent, but it is probably the only good thing of the hotel. Our room on the 6th floor was not warm enough (the radiator was nearly cold all the time), the bathroom was just FREEZING, with no radiator at all!! Sometimes, probably peak times, not enough hot water available. Shower not comfortable at all: it was like... More

We were very satisfied with the hotel. We made reservation true Booking. The price was good for the excellent location. At the reception worked mr. Faggo and he advised as what to do next two days we spent in Paris. He was very friendly and helpful. I advise the hotel Au Royal Cardinal if you travel to Paris.

I booked this B&B hotel on line and was not disappointed. The rooms are very clean. The staff wonderful and able to accommodate pretty well any language. Breakfast was always delicious and served with a smile. I have already rebooked for this April 2015 to continue my discovery of Paris on foot. There are two metro stations within a two... More

The hotel overall is great. The rooms are quite basic, and the wifi only worked in the lobby, but the location makes up for it. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Notre Dame is 10 minutes walk away, easy to find as once you find the river it is visible. We also walked to Le Louvre easily in 35 minutes,... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
