The Hotel is old and could do with some renovation. Buy hey this is Paris. The location is brilliant, Close to three Metro stations, and the bus outside. Short walk to the Seine and heaps of restaurants. But the greatest praise is for Fabio at the front desk. This gentlemen went far and beyond to help and advise. Fabio you... More

I had a small room on the second floor. The room could have used a fresh coat of paint but bathroom was spotless and modern. Nice old building. Can be noisy if your room gives onto the rue des ecoles, try to avoid that. Great location with three subway stations really close by. Little shopopen late at night right by... More

I had a friend staying in this hotel so I joined her to pick her up, she invited me to see her room. I was Shocked !!! The room was so tiny you can only walk around the bed, bathroom tiny and sooo old. Wall paper bubbling, paint missing, no decoration whatsoever. The people at reception are helpful and pleasant.... This is definitely a 2 to 3 star hotel. Rooms were clean and OK, but really nothing spectacular. I would recommend this to anyone with limits as far as travel funds, but it certainly is not a five-star hotel. Few amenities however the staff was very friendly

We booked a family room with 3 beds. The room was the size of a matchbox . There was no A/C or fan provided and we could not open the window because the 3rd bed got in the way. We were reassured that the room was big enough for all 3 people. If you wanted to move around in the... More

The location is of the hotel is excellent in terms of proximity to metro and sights. But the hotel itself is awful for the price we paid. Smelly and very small bathroom. Room smelly and not clean. There is no air conditioning so we had to keep the windows open but there is very LOUD street noise from dusk till... More

I've booked a room for a weekend on this hotel via Internet. 2 night for 2 people 290€! I was aware of the fact that a lot of hotels in Paris are expensive and not nice but looking through the media I thought that this hotel could be okay. As I am gonna told you below I was totally wrong:... More

Hello there! WE have been just back home from our 6 weeks holiday in Europe. We love Paris! We have been very pleasantly surprised with level of services that Fabio and his housekeeping team provide to the guests. WE understand that the building is older but it was clean and comfortable enough, and yes, you are in heart of Paris!!!... More

Terse staff except for younger girl at desk and housekeeping. LOUD LOUD LOUD.... not hotels fault though HORRIBLE bar owner across street using leaf blower at 3:00AM to gather cigarette butts his loudmouth dirtbag patrons throw in street instead of his providing smoking post or ashtray! completely ridiculous! That and the fact that Paris is allowing modification on exhaust of... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
