Just returned from staying three nights in this clean and friendly hotel, rooms are compact, bathroom clean and toiletries supplied. Breakfast at hotel excellent, typical continental fare, small bar as well. Location of hotel is close to Metro and local buses, 15 minute walk to Arc de Triomphe. Hotel great for a short trip tp Paris. Have to mention Eurostar... More

Clean, friendly atmosphere, great breakfast, but a bit like every hotel in Paris somewhat small rooms. Not exactly in the center, but near Metro station. When back in Paris, will certainly keep it in mind !

Stayed with my wife for the first week of October. Great value for money. Five minutes to the Metro and RER, very good cold buffet breakfast (rolls were magnificent), orange juice machine a technological marvel and showstopper, spotlessly clean throughout, basic but adequate rooms, very quiet location fifteen minute walk from Arc de Triumph, Only down-sides were the lack of... My adult daughter and myself stayed here for 6 days in August 2010. The hotel was small but very clean, nice garden court yard, breakfast was good, staff helpful when they could be. The room was small by our standards but we had a small balcony which was a very nice addition. It was quite a walk to the tourist... More

It is a good clean hotel. The room was very small but was adequate for a 5 day stay. The bed linen was changed during the stay and the towels changed as frequently as you wished. The breakfast was good, continental style, with plenty to choose from (meats, cheese, eggs, croissants, pain au chocolat, fresh fruit juice). The female receptionist... More

The staff in this hotel need some training in how to deal with guests. The lady in the dining room was extremely rude and never once smiled during the 5 days we were there!!! On our last day there was a queue out to the bar as no tables were cleared for guests to sit on and she had a... More

Good hotel with helpful staff. Rooms clean with little hanging space but manageable. Very varied choice for breakfast and loved the quiet garden area. Close to Metro and bus depot and we enjoyed the cafes and little parks in the vicinity. Savings to be made buying 10 Metro tickets rather than singles.

This hotel has only one fault - no air conditioning. In all other respects, it is excellent value, providing good breakfasts, pleasant and efficient staff, clean rooms with good decor, very good prices for drinks etc. in hotel. The location is about 1 and a half (easy, but slightly uphill) kilometres from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee. There... More

The Hotel Magellan was a welcome change after staying at a London hostel for a week. It was very quaint, with rooms that weren't huge, but were big enough. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. It was in a great location, a 5-minute walk off a main street, and not a terribly far walk from the Arc... More

We stayed at the Magellan from the 06/07/2010 to the 12/07/2010, as park of a package with Newmarket Holidays. Overall, the hotel was very nice- the rooms were small (but average for Paris), and very clean. The hotel is also situated in a nice area of Paris- close to Metro/RER line C and a bus stop, and about 20 minutes... More
