The staff at this hotel was very friendly and forthcoming. They even went out of their way to serve us breakfast at 6 am while it is normally served between 7 - 11 am. They speak English which was very welcome because my experience on a earlier trip (1998) to France was that nobody speaks English. Its an old hotel... More

Dear Gina g, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience on Trip Advisor. The hotel Royal Fromentin is really full of history with wood paneling, a bar that used to be a real cabaret, a wrought iron elevator, the Art Deco window in the staircase and details of the history everywhere. Coming to the Royal... More

Very spacious family room in an older hotel. Staff were friendly on check in and speak good English. Not enough towels provided for 4. You get what you pay for and nothing more. It is in the red light district. Would stay again if not travelling with small children. Plenty of eateries nearby.

This was our 4th time staying at this hotel. It has so much history and a friendly staff! Their staff goes above and beyond, especially Phillipe, who helped panic travelers at 5:00 am when our flight was cancelled back to the USA. Food prices in the Montmartre area are more reasonable and several ex-pat pubs located there to enjoy. If... More

Hotel is near to Metro, just 3 minutes walk ( Metro line 2). And it is close to Moulin Rogue. Reasonable price to stay in Paris. Staff are friendly. Little noisy at night. You can small supermarket and restaurant around that area.

The hotel is located around the corner from the Molin Rouge and the Sacre Coeur, yet the price is very reasonable, what makes it a good option to travel in a budget. Upon arrival to the room, nothing really looks bad except for been a bit on the small side. The scary part is when you have to use the... More

If you want a sterile but comfortable hotel with all mad cons, then this is not the hotel for you. If however you want the Paris experience of a small hotel with a sense of atmosphere, a typical small elevator straight out of the movies, then this is it. The staff were pleasant and informative. The breakfast was a typical... More

Thank you for a pleasant stay. The first room was located quiet to the back of the hotel, but a request to the staff resulted in a move to the front, and a magnificent view towards Sacré Coeur. We enjoyed the stay at this hotel, and are only pleased with the neighborhood and the surrounding area that's full of bigcity-life!

We were transferred here from the Hotels Jardins des Montmartre after they could not honour our booking, for which we had paid 100euros in advance. Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
