I spent 5 nights in this mhotel, which I came to on a business trip. I heard some of the rooms are bigger than others, so if you have larger bags, it would be a good idea to ask for one of the bigger rooms. The reception staff is very nice and polite. The lobby is a pleasant place to... More

My husband and I stayed at the R. Kipling for three nights early in March. It is a lovely little hotel, beautifully decorated and filled with all the charm and elegance one can expect. The room we got was tiny but it did have a big comfortably bed and the place was clean and cozy enough for us to feel... More

I´ve stayed in this hotel last year for a weekend. Hotel has perfect location, just 150 m far from the Moulin Rouge and metro station, in a romantic walking distance from Montmartre. We had every morning great breakfast in Brasserie oposite to the Moulin Rouge. I can recommend this hotel for super value for money!

As reviews say, the hotel is cute, and boutique style. Our receptionist was so warm and welcoming! Everything is small, but you need to expect that, you aren't booking a grand commercial hotel! Our room altho small was cute and much what we needed for our stay. We had 1 night and 2 days in Paris for the weekend. The... More

I was recommended this hotel by a friend and I'm very glad that I was. I planned a surprise birthday trip to Paris for my wife and the hotel was the icing on the cake. The hotel itself is clean, tidy and very well presented. The staff could not do enough for us, we're extremely polite, helpful and assisted us... More

Very well presented throughout, rooms small but quality fittings, great breakfast choice, free coffee all day every day and free afternoon tea. Free bottled water and fruit. We would definitely stay again. Close to metro and bus routes.

Close to Metro so ideal for base to travel around the city. Only slight problem was lack of hot water pressure in shower in the morning - a minor problem. Breakfast good and staff friendly. Yes - it is close to Pigalle but had no problem with the area - loads of choice with places to eat in the evenings.

Though billed as being in Montmartre, it's more like Pigalle, less than 5 minutes from Moulin Rouge, so some interesting neighbours. Being kind one might describe it as compact, very, and bijou. Rooms are small, everyone comments, we had a superior which probably meant a super king bed in a standard sized room, so little space to get around, less... More

Disappointed. Smaller room than expected... Photos don't really show how small. The bed was comfortable and clean linen. Continental breakfast was fine. One of the reception staff was rude, so I felt uncomfortable - if it hadn't been valentines weekend I would have just booked elsewhere! If it is your first time in Paris the hotel is a road off... When you enter the lobby you think, wow good choice - nicely decorated small boutique hotel. I read that the rooms were small so expected that and choose the hotel because the bathrooms looked new. Yes the room was small, the bathroom new but the bathroom had a a horrible stench and the remained during the entire stay. Like another... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
