We stayed in Hotel Amelie some years ago and the hotel was simple, not fancy, not luxurious, just with the necessary services you need to stay at night. The staff was very polite and helpful. It is my understanding that the hotel has been renewed but prices look very expensive, although the area where it is located is beautiful, you... More

The staff here is very friendly and courteous. The rooms are small, but comfortable. It is very close to the Eiffel Tower and many other attractions, as well as shops and restaurants. When in Paris, I may most likely stay here again.

I stayed at this place one night in November, although my credit card been charged twice. I've tried to explain them this, but they did not want to listen and even tried to proof me wrong. Finally, they admitted their mistake after a while, and my money was returned to my account after 2 months. Although everybody can make a... More

This was a really lovely little hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the Eiffel Tower with lots of little shops, restaurants and bars nearby. The rooms are small, but perfectly suitable for 2 people. The bathroom was clean, good sized shower, plenty of hot water. The wifi worked brilliantly on our stay there (we were on the 1st... More

No value for money, despite the good location (paid €137 per night, excl. breakfast). Better alternatives for similar prices can be found in the vicinity. Corny interior design, no elevator, no proper breakfast facilities. Service was okay to friendly. Not recommended.

By far the worst hotel we stayed in during our Europe trip. We found the rooms small, dark and dingy. My wife also thought the beddings were unclean. Additionally there are no lifts which means carrying your bags over long, narrow staircases. The hotel is very basic, the beds and furniture look old and can collapse anytime. Absolutely avoid this... More

Some people think of the French as uptight, snobbish and arrogant. However, on our second visit to Paris that was again proven to be the opposite. In the City of Lights, amidst the glow of the Eiffel Tower in the Invalides area, a Guardian Angel helped us in our time of need. He is Ibrahim, the night duty manager for... More

This is the first time I stayed in this hotel and did so on two occasions in October 2014 - one for almost a week and then another for another few days. I chose it mainly for location as I was visiting a friend who lives in the area. It turned out to be one of the best stays I've... More

Staying in Tour Eiffel / Invalides

Neighborhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
