I recommend Hotel Athenee for a short break to Paris, especially if travelling alone - it's in easy walking reach of most destinations - their taxi service they use was prompt, efficient and helpful. I used their dry-cleaning service for a prompt 24hr turnaround. The staff were very courteous and helpful I will be definitely staying there again on any... More

This is a lovely small haven in a great location. Very close to Metro and shopping. Rooms are beautifully appointed , but compact a la Paris. Unfortunately the aircon. Did not cope well with the heat and we had a very warm night.

I am currently staying at the hotel Athenee in central Paris and would highly recommend it. I have a king bed in an air conditioned room with a lovely modern washroom ... It is small but perfect. Staff are wonderful and very helpful and the red bar in the lobby is very romantic. Housekeeping services are terrific. Small details like... More

The rooms are beautiful and location close to the Opera is great! The perfect hotel for those who like a more intimate experience than one of the bigger "chains." The small staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. I fully recommend.

Very well situated in the heart of Paris, close to the opera ,Olympia music hall . Shopaholic have a big choice, all around the hotel. The hotel is very calm, clean and the staff was very good. There are a lot of restaurants close to the hotel. Negative point the rooms are small but with a very good bed.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
