3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

I was worried that the night-time noise would be a serious problem, but even though we were on the first floor facing the street, we were able to sleep. Street noise is almost continuous, though, and there are two periods when there is loud boisterous talk - about 1:30am and 2:30am, at least the week we were there. The location... More

We stayed at Goldhotel in Paris 2 nights, enough for me! Was so cold and loudly over the night , even with ear plugs. The heater didn't work . For check in we had to wait around 30 min, all reception seats were occupied. Wi Fi was fine and bathroom. The staff very lukewarm. The rest below 3 starts.

A special trip, my partner and I visited this three-star hotel to celebrate his birthday. However, I am at a loss at whom or how this sham of a hotel ever managed to achieve one, let alone three stars. Upon arrival to the hotel on the 7th February, we were informed that our room wasn’t ready. After an hour of... More

Very nice hotel in the center of Paris. It is only few metres from the metro station. And around 20 metres from famous Moulin Rouge. The price is very very good for the service. Room was clean, bathroom great, bed comfortable. The staff helpful and nice. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Took my partner here for a 4 night stay as we wanted to visit the attractions in Paris, Moulin Rouge being her main one and the hotel is literally a stones throw away from the attraction. Being a smoker I went to find a shop to buy tobacco and was quite surprised by the amount of sex shops and strippers... More

The location was very convenient, across the street from Moulin Rouge. This came in very handy when we needed to ask directions back to the hotel from where we were. It is very close to metro and bus stops. The name of the stop closest to the hotel is called "Blanche". We got a room above the terrace away from... More

We were really to happy to book this hotel. Staff are very friendly - they understand in English. The rooms are clean but quite small. I had really big problem to find quite a good hotel for approx 350 EUR/5 night/2 persons. So for Paris-cetre Montmartre with view to Moulin Rouge is really good for value. You can order breakfast... we stayed there for 5 days. we were given a room right above the street and looking over at the windmill of the moulin rouge. this was very airy but very noisy. we aasked to change to a quieter room but having a big event in town it was not possible. we slept with solid earplugs and actually got used... I booked this hotel in Jan 2013 for 2 nights 18-19June 2013 having stayed there 2 years previously. It was for the last 2 nights of a weeks touring holiday beginning 13/6. On 11/6 I was informed by the company I had booked the hotel through Easytobook.com that my booking had been checked by the hotel and that the card... More

Arrived in Paris at Porte Malliot and the Gold Hotel was easy to find using the metro. Great location and lots of nice bars, cafes and resteraunts on the doorstep. The room was basic and clean and I would stay in this hotel again.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
