This is a small boutique hotel in the Saint Germaine district of Paris. Wonderful location but the hotel lacks an elevator and anyone to give assistance with luggage. If you cannot handle multiple flights of winding stairs with luggage...this is not the hotel for you! WiFi was limited to one person. Since I checked in to two rooms to accommodate... More

So it doesn't have an elevator. There are stairs to climb in the metro. It's not fancy, its an old building, but we still like it.The young man at the desk carried my suitcase. The room was a good size. Very clean large bathroom that had been updated. Our room overlooked the he courtyard so it was quite It had a table desk,... More

This is a small, old hotel in the great St. Germain neighborhood. I stayed here for three nights in September 2014. The rooms are simple, plain and a bit outdated but very comfortable and functional. Despite what others have said, I found my room to be a bit larger than the average Parisian hotel room and the bathroom was large... More

Compact rooms and are somewhat dated and in need of upgrading. Hotel location is very good with ample cafe bars and restaurants to chose from all close by. Check in & out was quick with no problems. Reception was helpful. As many other reviews have pointed out the absence of an elevator and dated decor is a negative. Probably much... More

This hotel is in a great spot but sadly that's about all it has going for it. We arrived and the guy in front desk was so rude. Rooms are small I mean when I opened the window I could touch the window of the next room this was on 2nd floor. Stairs are steep and if you are an... More

We booked this hotel on Booking.com in October of this year and had to change our plans. Despite assurances of free booking, and our cancellation early in August we were charged 1/3 of the four night stay. This warning was not provided as an option on the web site and Booking.com and the Hotel blamed each other for the policy.... More

This small hotel, in an historic building, is located in St. Germain, a very fashionable area. It is about a 5 minute walk from 2 different Metro lines. The price is very good for the location. This seems to be a family-run hotel and the staff is very friendly; several speak English, but were very patient with my bad French.... More

This hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly enough and breakfast was okay. In a one star hotel you don't expect big rooms or frills but our room could have done with a good dust. The dust on bedside lamps and central light was thick enough to write in. When in the bath the view under... More

On the upside, the location of this hotel, right in the heart of St. Germain du Prés, is great and the staff of the hotel are helpful and friendly. However, our room was dirty. Dirt was visible in the bathroom, on the telephone and in the corners of the bedroom. We were very careful to wipe everything down. We just... More

We found the hotel to be well located in a wonderful area of Paris with everything you could need just nearby. Staff very friendly. Yes the stairs are winding but luckily we were only on the 2nd floor, a little difficult with our heavy suitcases. Our room was a good size, bathroom a little squeezy. Plenty of hot water if... Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
