Such a disappointment. The location is good and the building is quaint. BUT a "double" for myself and my girlfriend was actually bunk beds (not mentioned) and the room was supposed to have a toilet and shower. Instead it had a shared toilet in the hallway and the private shower had no soap or towels. None of this was mentioned.... More

Great location: Marais, near River Seine and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Nearest metro stations are St. Paul and Pont Marie. Nice cultural heritage old building with modern facility. We stayed in Room No 305. A large room with quad beds (not bunk so it’s great). En suite shower, but too bad no shower head. I hope they have fixed that by now.... More

It wasn't really a hotel it's a hostel. I went on a school trip and while I am used to extravagant hotels I really disliked this. The rooms are small and have nothing in them apart from a desk, the beds and a door to the bathroom which is really just a shower. You have to share the actual toilet... More

The Wifi wasn't free, It cost 10 euro for 10 hours and only work on first floor, and breakfast was just various stale breads. I would've had to walk down the 5 block to McDonald's in order to even use Internet service, I thought that was nonsense. The confirmation email didn't include how to get to the hotel, but the... It is very, very clean, cozy and spacious in the hostel standard I've come across in New York and London with a unbeatable price. Also it is conveniently located in the heart of paris with two subway stations in 5 minutes walking distance. There's a lot to see around even just by walking. The area is very safe too as... More

I was overly pleased with this hostel! I stayed here with 12 high schoolers from New York City on the last leg of a two week trip in France, and we all loved the experience. The rooms were clean and perfect, some even with a mezzanine and beautiful view. Breakfast was good and location was amazing!

Have stayed here several times with a school group. The rooms are simple but comfortable and include a sink and shower (shared toilets on each level). The old buildings have lots of character and are very well located in the centre of Paris with a lot you can do on foot from the hotel. Prices are very competitive, especially considering... More

Stayed there with my best friend just before Christmas. It was pretty empty, but the location is great (although tbh we didn't know it at the time - kept getting lost :D ) and the staff friendly. Only one thing - instead of eating breakfast there, better go get that perfect croissant from one of the many boulangeries nearby :)

The MIJE residences are clean, central, and well-managed. I have stayed there on my own, with students, and with my spouse. For a no-frills place to lay your head in the heart of the Marais, you can do no better.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
