Hotel looked boho on line. In reality took shabby chic a bit far for my liking. Room disappointing, dark and a bit dingy and in need of a refurb. Stairs a bit terrifying in heels. Location good but rest a bit of a let down.

This hotel was recommended to us for a one night stay in Paris, mainly because of the location. It is a short walk from the Metro Maubert Mutualite and almost on the left bank in the 5th Arondisement. Do I mention the negatives first, why not! Our room was on the fifth floor up 84 steps of a winding circular... More

I always write my reviews based on raw honesty, trying to always look on the sunny side if possible, but this little Hotel fell so far below my very basic expectations of basic cleanliness as well as crying out in need for basic repairs...broken tiles in bathroom, mold on ceiling and in bathroom, smell of disinfectant in hallway, windows needing... I was taken to Paris for a couple of days as a surprise by my wonderful partner. We stayed in this lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly, rooms were nice.. I'm not a breakfast eater but thought the 10€ was a bit expensive.. The only bad point was,the tiles on our bathroom floor were broken and missing,so sharp.. Overall though it... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on a second honeymoon. Last time we stayed in a lovely 5 star hotel but felt we missed the Real Paris. Thank heavens we found this gem. We stayed in room 501/51 in the eves with a view of Notre Dame. I see some of the other reviewers didn't understand the decor or the... More

This hotel was absolutely what we were after. Proper Parisian charm and a great location. It's not a luxury hotel but it is reasonably priced and has everything you could need for a few days in the city. The staff were very helpful as well and patient with our diabolical attempt at speaking French!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights in November and I absolutely loved it. He found it online and the price was right. The hotel was true to all the pictures on the website - charming, Parisian, clean and comfy. I think we lucked out by getting room 48 because we had read that 48 and 501 were... More

Oh dear... no common areas or longes here. Entered through what can only be described as a tabac cafe. Five floors to a 2 star room that has seen better days. It reminds me of a 2 star I stayed in the first time I visited as a student. I did not pay €150 and breakfast was included. Charming people... More

We stayed for three nights in November. It was extremely close to notre dame, the staircase up wasn't bad, yes, its a spiral type, but was not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be- its paris. We were able to check in early, the hotel was right in the thick of things, and we were lucky... More

Very old hotel, pretty well kept up. A little shabby but clean. Centrally located, walk to many Paris attractions. Nice, professional staff. No elevator, 5th floor room and very narrow, winding staircase. Knew that when we booked, no problem. Not luxury, but good choice for budget minded. I would stay here again.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
