We stayed for three nights in November. It was extremely close to notre dame, the staircase up wasn't bad, yes, its a spiral type, but was not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be- its paris. We were able to check in early, the hotel was right in the thick of things, and we were lucky... More

Very old hotel, pretty well kept up. A little shabby but clean. Centrally located, walk to many Paris attractions. Nice, professional staff. No elevator, 5th floor room and very narrow, winding staircase. Knew that when we booked, no problem. Not luxury, but good choice for budget minded. I would stay here again.

My friend and her daughter and I stayed for three nights in this delightful hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. Full of character, it's nothing like the international, modern hotels that all look the same. On every landing, and throughout our room (the best, I think, on the 5th floor with a fabulous view of Notre Dame, and the climb kept... More

My wife booked this hotel for our long weekend escape. She was looking for a traditional small hotel with typical Parisian flair. This hotel has it all. Don't book this if you are looking at modern rooms and/or style. This one is really 'old school' and has 'charactere'. We really enjoyed it. It is clean, has free wifi and a... More

My family and I that's 4 boys 10 years to 30 years in age, plus one niece 24 stayed 3 nights at Les Degres de Notre Dames, this August. We were cycling London to Paris and this was our stop over whilst in Paris. They were a bit freaked out by us all arriving with our bikes initially but soon... More

We stayed at Les Degres de Notre Dame for two nights. Before seeing the actual room which was at the very top of the hotel, five flights of stairs with no lift, we thought it to be a little pricey per night albeit it is in a great location. The hotel entrance is tired and quite small (its a bar/cafe... More

I am staying at the Les Degres right now and everything has been perfect. The room is small, but I almost prefer that when travelling alone. Plus, it was by large margin the least expensive hotel I could find in the area for this trip.

Hôtel les Degrés de Notre Dame Tucked in behind the main street along the left bank of the Seine, Quai De La Tournelle, Hôtel les Degrés de Notre Dame sits quietly behind a very good café. This was our fourth time in the hotel. The ladies and man who run the hotel speak good English, Spanish and French. The entrance... More

This is not an average venue. If you want the feel of old Paris in a neighborhood loaded with restaurants and charm and the best location ever, this is for you! This is not a modern facility but it is full of charm and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They helped with so much and if you want to feel... More

Lovely room, updated bath with great shower, amazing location - less than 100 yards to the south side of the river looking straight across at Notre Dame, friendly helpful staff, espresso in the mornings. No elevator and very narrow spiral staircase to the rooms, but completely made up for by the closeness to the chiming bells of Notre Dame. Wifi... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
