A quite, well organized little hotel a few step away from LES HALLES. I booked online and everything was organised and prepared when I arrived. Breakfast is included. Staff a little bit grumpy, but FRANCE has just lost to ARGENTINA in the RWC....so that could be why there was such long faces in the foyer. Will rcommend this hotel in... More

We booked a double and a triple and were pleasantly surprised to see how nice and how clean the rooms were - certainly better than we'd been expecting! The staff are friendly too. The double room was small but not as small as some other Paris hotels I've stayed in, and the triple room was good size. The hotel is... More

Stayed at Du Cygne late March for 2 nights. From Gare du Nord took Metro to Etienne Marcel--and hotel is about 3 blocks away. Room was small , overlooking central courtyard, but beds were comfy. Easy walk to Notre Dam, Louvre and FOOD! I thought breakfast was included, at 8 Euro maybe was not worth it. Staff was very nice-... More

Stayed four days with my wife at beginning of October 2006. Excellent location. Very small room but spotlessly clean and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. No complaints. Ten minutes from Louvre and Notre Dame. No need to eat breakfast as right round the corner there are plenty of cheap food carry out or eat in... More

When planning my first trip to Paris my main aim was to get somewhere central so that our short weekend break was not full of hopping on and off metros. A French friend of mine recommended les halles as a district to stay in and I am delighted to say that, for what we wanted, she was right. We only... More

This is a wonderful little hotel for the budget traveller. Excellent location - very near (two blocks from) the Les Halles metro/RER station and within short walking distance to the Louvre. The rooms are very clean with new bathrooms and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We wanted to stay in central Paris, to enable us to walk to all the main sights. This is a great little hotel positioned just behind the Forum des Halles shopping centre, and just a few minutes walk from the Pompidou Centre and the Louvre. It's only 2 stars, and the room was tiny, however the bathroom was roomy and... More

The rooms are very small (especially the bathroom!). Apparently they have a larger room with a great view but that was not available. However the room was clean and everything worked ok, the staff are polite and helpful, and the location is great for shopping in les halles, visiting the tuileries, louvre and pompidou centre, and is on almost every... Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
