I used this hotel for location. It is 2 blocks from the Chatelet-Les Halles station, which if taking the RER from airport, is convenient. Although there is major construction at this station currently it wasn't a huge problem (however, if more than 2 bags it could get heavy) The hotel's prices are what got me there. I stayed on top... Pros: - Cute hotel - Very nice receptionist - Good location,10 minutes walk from train and right next to the shuttle to the Beauvais airport - Even though it's on a main street, the location is quiet Cons: - Our room had a tiny shower with poorly closing doors - Shared toilet outside the room

Hotel du Cyne is located right near restaurants, shopping and major attractions. Although the rooms are smaller than your average "hotel", you cant beat the customer service that the hotel provides. Specifically, Damien, who was beyond helpful with everything. He helped us with directions, where to shop/eat, taxis, and even went as far as ordering us a pizza on a... More

We stayed here while backpacking through Europe for two nights. Rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities. The staff were wonderful and so friendly. We arrived in Paris in the morning after a 25hour flight and staff were more than happy for us to leave our backpacks while we waited for our rooms. They accommodated in any way possible... More

The room was not as it was shown on pictures. It was too small and this is very unconfortable. The staff is nice, and the location is great but this is not enough from my point of view. Staying 3 nights in such a small room it irritates me.

Hello, Thank you for taking your time to tell us your opinion. Concerning the fact that rooms are small, the Hotel is a historic building and unfortunately, many building from 17th / 18 th century have small rooms. Concerning the photos, each room are very different: the theme is not the same. We apologize if your trip was not as... More

Very good location, 15 minute walk to Lourve and lots of good restaurants and bars close by. I see a few people commenting on street noise, well my advice is get used to it, you are staying in the heart of Paris in a character hotel at a very reasonable price. We elected to book a suite, which wasn't much... More

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write your opinion. We are glad to know that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel. We focus on service and if necessary, the reception is always available. Pros: Convenient location ( close to metro, shops, restaurants, bars ) 15-20 minute walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc Friendly and courteous staff ( specifically Damien who was very helpful) Price for a central location hotel in Paris is very reasonable Steps from Chatelet les Halle's shopping/ metro Cons: Noisy location because of the bars and the area (... This hotel was extremely well located within walking distance of both Notre Dame and the Louvre and very close to metro station. Took the train from the airport which dropped us a 5 minute walk from the hotel (Chatelet-Les Halles station). The hotel is a very old historic building which is quaint and charming. The rooms are VERY small and... More

I might have known that when I reserved a room in January, asking for one facing the courtyard rather than the noisy street, come September, I wouldn't get it. Since I was there for only two nights, and since my train from Brive was late, the last thing I wanted to do was hunt for another hotel on a Saturday... More

Dear Sir, We are sorry that your stay has not gone well. Regarding the street noise, several complaints were lodged with the police. Concerning the breakfast, there is no preference regarding allocation of seats but as the table in the small room is larger and can accommodate up to 4 people, we prefer to place the groups of several people... I have been staying in this hotel whenever I am in Paris, for over 20 years! This is an old Paris building that resembles a mini castle with all the old black wood in the ceiling and walls. Note that there is no elevator and the circular wood staircase is rather narrow. The hotel has 3 floors so take it... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
