We stayed here for 3 nights in May 2015 when in Paris to celebrate my wife's birthday and were very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. It wasn't very expensive, so we were a bit nervous beforehand but the entrance and lobby all inspired confidence. We were welcomed by very nice staff who spoke English but humoured me while... More

A lovely short stay at Hotel Vivienne. Very central, able to walk to all the main sites, also handy for Metro and RER. A little noisy at night, but it's city centre so expected. Hoping to return soon.

Just back from a long weekend staying in Hotel Vivienne and it was perfect for our needs. Central enough that you dont need to use the metro if you dont mind a little walking to get to all the main tourist sites. Lovely clean room. Very friendly staff and the hotel cat Romero is delightful!

We did find our hotel on the web. Nice price/quality. Near the metrostation 'grands boulevards'. Easy handling on the desk. Clean room. Breakfast is correct. The toilet was in the corridor, but compansated by the rate. can advice this hotel for people looking for simple but correct comfort.

We stayed on a four night surprise 50th birthday present for my wife, Hotel Vivienne was recommended by some friends. What a lovely hotel, we stayed in room 29 good size twin/triple room although we saw a couple of doubles that were being cleaned and they looked very cosy. The room was cleaned every day and always clean towels. Continental... More

Old fashioned decor gives nice French feel to this hotel. And it's comfortable, clean, and roomy, with friendly and helpful staff. It's in a handy location and a nice neighborhood with several pleasant and reasonably priced eateries nearby. Really good value for money.

We had room 25 w/o breakfast for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Good bed, clean room, friendly people. Lots of restaurants around and nice location in side street between two Metros (Grand Boulevards, Bourse). And we loved yromeo, the hotel cat at the reception.

We spent one weekend in Paris and found this nice hotel close to the Grands Boulevards and the bourse. The Louvre is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean. We would recommend to book a room with a balcony. Breakfast ist typically french with one croissant, baguette and jam and freshly squeezed (!) orange juice. We would definitely... More

We decided to stay here because it was centrally located to everything we wanted to see in Paris. Rooms are pretty small, but when in Paris, you really should be out and about and not in your room. Room I chose didnt have a toilet, but it wasnt so bad since the toilets are literally 20 feet away outside your... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
