?Isso tem soluções simples??, questiona o repórter. Besides that, the hostel is pretty simples (way too). The rooms are clean but the bathrooms have a fix seat (doesnt have anything to sit on), its pretty diaguating. The worst part is that the are scraming childs all over the place. They say its 18-35 only, but we saw childs that werent... More

I stayed here one night in January in a double room with a friend. In room sink and shower. Bathroom at the end of the hall. The hostel is generally clean, with minimal but pleasant staff, in an excellent location. The room was also clean and well heated. Only downside was the very odd shower with no shower curtain and... This hostel has changed its name and is now known as Bernadins Youth Hostel. I stayed there for 6 nights as i unfortunately had no choice as Paris was very full. Never again . For myself and my husband it was 70 euros per night for a very small single bed each that was not a double but completely separate... More

If you are traveling and decide to go to Paris DO NOT STAY HERE. We checked in on a Thursday night with a reservation for a 6 person room. The incredibly rude man at reception told us there were no 6 person rooms and we would be paying 30 euros a night (120 total for 4 days) to be thrown... More

I've just returned from 4 nights in this hostel. As per previous reviews, I received an email booking confirmation but when I arrived I was not on their paper or computer list of bookings. They were able to allocate a single room as requested (shower and basin included, shared toilet in hall) for €49 per night, full payment for the 4... Its location is exactly what I was looking for. Only 4 blocks from Notre Dame, and a short walk to the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg Gardens, I loved its position in Paris. It is nestled near a small church, and the street remains relatively quiet. The hallways and guests were also quiet and respectful. No school groups to be found.... More

The title of this review may sound comic, but the appalling nature of my and my girlfriend's stay here was far from humorous. We were dead on our feet on arrival, yet were gifted disdainful looks and sighs as we asked simple questions about our stay. We were made to wait for ages while a 'shift swap' took place, despite... Nice hostel, functional, clean and very well positioned. (Latin quarter) Excellent value for money. We booked a 10 female room and it was nice and spacious. Good and abundant breakfast (included). Sheets, pillow covers and blankets provided and rooms are very warm. Spacious and functional shared spaces. When we arrived we could not check in (because check in is after... More

A little overpriced for what we got, but not bad. Uncomfortable beds and NO SHOWER CURTAIN IN THE BATHROOM (seriously how hard is it to buy one?) but breakfast was included. Good breakfast, too! Hot drinks, bread & rolls, many spreads for the bread, juice, etc. Computer with internet for 0.01/minute if you need it. Luggage room doesn't have a... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
