I booked MONTHS in advance for 3 rooms - each with a Queen bed - yet was shoved into a back corner "room" with 2 twin beds and a tiny little window with a view of a solid wall! I was told the hotel was full and that was "all the was available". Reminding them of my 5 months in... More

Checked in as a party of three women, room no 24, in late August....which was a triple room....two twin beds shoved together with a cot bed in the corner. The room was unbearably small for 3 people, the furniture was awkward, for example, a mirror in the corner, not at the dressing table etc. made it difficult to get ready. could... More

Very disappointing experience! Way over priced for what you get! Pictures on website do not match the bathroom I had which was a tub with a shower arm that dispersed the water in a large area and no shower curtain so the water went on the floor- very difficult to wash your hair too! (17) The first room ( 21)... More

Hotel is well positioned; our room was on the third floor overlooking the interesting, bustling street and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel preferring the good value continental breakfast offered in the little café just over the road. This hotel is in an excellent position for people visiting Notre Dame, Louvre, La... More

Very dilapidated hotel , and over priced. Great location and walking distance to Notre Dame and the Louvre . On the fringe of Saint Germain . But rooms were very small and in need of refurbishment and bathrooms a bit tacky . Breakfast was included but after first day we ate out as it wasn't as good as many other... More

This hotel has a very good location. Rooms are very small and simple, but clean and functional. Bathroom was small and the soap and shampoo given by the hotel to guests are not of ten best quality so be sure to bring them from home if you want quality stuff. Breakfast is good and staff is very friendly. The direct... More

We would not recommend this hotel as we had booked this hotel for 2 nights in April, but only ended up staying for the first night. The room we were given was like a concrete cell, two windows both looking into concrete walls, walls so thin you could hear the neighbours going to the bathroom. The plumbing was blocked in... More

We stayed here in 2003, July, for the Tour de France. Was very hot that summer and our air conditioner was on overload. It was leaking water all over the carpet. That's the only big thing to complain about. The service was great, the hotel employees were wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast area and the food. Strange thing was that... More

We had a 4 night stay. Although the room was small, the location and helpfulness of staff out weighed the petite room size. The hotel was clean and tidy. Centrally located within walking distance to Notra Dame, Hop On Hop Off bus and excellent selection of restaurants. Breakfast could be brought at the hotel but we opted to get breakfast... More

As soon as I stepped in the Foyer the young man on reception called my name and had my key ready for me, which was lovely for my one night stay. My room 211 was on the second floor and comfortable, I slept well, it was quiet too and I could walk around the double bed . Air conditioner worked,... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
