We stayed at this hotel as part of a business trip to Paris in summer of 2014. It was perfect and charming in every way. Laurie and all of the staff were wonderful -- friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The room looked over the Sorbonne and had a wonderful view of the square below. I didn't... More

Hotel was very nice and the standard room we had was quite small but pleasant. Yes the bathroom is a bit quirky but fine. One issue was with a noisy neighbours who were unable to keep their voices to a reasonable level and insisted on singing along to rap music early in the morning

Traveling alone, this was a fantastic boutique for my circumstances. I've listed the pros and cons below. Pros: 1) Amazing location. Beautiful on Place de la Sorbonne. Notre Dame is a mere 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are multiple metro stations within a few minutes of walking. Very safe area. The Louvre, Orsay, etc, are all within walking... More

It is located at a emblematic place (Place de la Sorbonne) - if you ask for a room over the square, it has a superb view!! The design it is very nive and sometines original (congratulation to the author!) but makes you feel at a home at the same time. The staff is very kind. The breakfast it is good... More

This is a very nice hotel in a good location. The lobby and rooms are well decorated and the staff very helpful As many others hotels of this king in Paris, the elevator is very small , as well as the rooms. I do recommend this hotel , specially if the location works for you.

The hotel is very well located just in front of the Sorbonne and near the Panthéon, the Quartier Latin and the Luxembourg Jardins. The room was nice even though the bathroom is not really convenient, especially for tall people. Our breakfast was included in the price of the room. It was really nice and copious: viennoiserie, different types of bread, jam,... More

This is a charming boutique hotel right in the center of the historic Quartier Latin near the Sorbonne. The hotel has a quaint charm with rooms in a design that combines woodsy, old World feel with a modern touch. The staff is very friendly and helpful. i enjoyed my time greatly. But it may not be the best option for... More

Recently stayed at the Select, and I have to say it was really good. Staff were friendly and attentive with good advice and booking restaurant reservations, the people on the reception desk were great. Location of the hotel is great, were a great little café next door, and a ten minute walk fro Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter nearby, key... More

We stayed there 2 days, with by parents. It was perfect, centrally located (close to shops, restaurants and many sites within walking distance) but quiet. The staff is friendly and very helful. The size of the room was correct (for Paris), nicely refurbished and clean. Nothing to worry about. Breakfast is good and not expensive. A charming french experience! We... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
