I had to cancel my 'refundable' reservation due to not getting my passport in time to fly out to France. I called AMX to get a refund since I had made reservations through them and they contacted the hotel for me. I was told hotels normally refund if a trip has to be cancelled for reasons out of the hands... More

Great location near the metro Luxembourg, the hotel accommodated with two rooms at the last minute due to another hotel double booking us. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, comfortable rooms would definitely visit again.

The hotel was modern with upgraded rooms. We had two rooms with one for three people. The size was comfortable for Paris standards and the bathrooms were great - clean, spacious and a fantastic shower head! The staff was courteous and helped us arrange a taxi to the airport. The location is good but quiet a walk to other attractions.... More

Very classy boutique hotel in one of the best locations in Paris. Beautiful place de latin Sorbonne is within easy 15 min walk of Notre dame cathedral and rue mouffeted in the other direction behind pantheon where you'll find many restaurants and bars. Staff very friendly and helpful. Have stayed in many hotels in the area over past 10 years... More

The Rive Gauche hotel is superbly located. There is a nice little square out front with some decent cafes; the Luxembourg gardens are just 5-minutes away, and are boarded by some nice cafe/bars with good happy hour beers. The Metro station is also here, from which you can easily get anywhere in Paris (and direct to the airport), while Notre... More

Loved the location. Close to many places we wanted to visit. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Room was small, but served our needs. Not much storage space for clothes, which was awkward. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well, large flat screen TV and additional TV in bathroom. Modern decor. Altogether very aesthetically pleasing. Quiet neighbourhood, but very active... The Select is a very stylish, boutique style hotel in a lovely setting. The Place De La Sorbonne is a cute square with a choice of cafés and bars and a relaxed feel. The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and served until 10.30. The rooms are small but cleverly designed. The beds are comfy. Try... More

We spent three nights at the Select hotel in August 2015. Our room was small, yet cosy and, most importantly, very clean. While the bathroom was particularly small, the shower was big enough for my boyfriend to feel at ease. The Hotel is well-located, at walking distance from Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower. The personnel was overall very... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
