The main reason I chose the Select Hotel was its location and I have not been disappointed. From the airport you can use the RER and get straight to the Luxembourg stop that is 5 minutes walking distance. The Notre Dame is just 10 minutes away and everything (a part from the Eiffel Tower) is just so close. The hotel... More

The hotel is well located beside the Sorbonne square in the Latin Quarter. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The hotel is well set up, very tasteful and clean. Location was excellent for walking around and discovering the area. We walked to Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle on our first evening. Our room was gorgeous and we loved the little... More

Booked through Expedia and was originally put in one of the smallest rooms ever! Requested a change and was upgraded the next day to a much nicer, larger room. Room was clean, with a view into the square, location is very central, walking distance to the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame and the Louvre.

The hotel is located close to Notre Damn. It is in a very easy to reach area. You can take the train to the Saint-Michel stop and walk a few blocks to the hotel. There are so many cafes and restaurants near by. Metro stop close for all of your sightseeing.

From Charles de Gaulle airport, take the RER (B) to Paris Luxembourg station, from where it its just 6 minutes walk to this friendly 4 star hotel. All staff we came into contact with, were very friendly and helpful. We (two pensioners) asked for, and got, a "quiet" room. It was No 65 on the sixth (top)floor.Very compact but comfortable.... The location is perfect for sight seeing in Paris and the hotel is very clean and modern. The room are very small but comfortable with a good sized double bed and I was very impressed with how well they had utilised the space in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was bog standard continental and not... Located right beside the University, you're within walking distance of the Latin Quarter, Nortre Dame and Pantheon. The Louvre and Orsay are only about a 20 minute walk. The decor is great and it's very clean. I loved the waterfall shower. The rooms are small and the bathroom even smaller, but that's pretty typical. The staff was very friendly and... More

I spent 7 days in Paris. The Hotel is located in a charming street off the Sorbonne University (Latin Quarter, 5th arrondissement), just minutes from the Odeon and Saint Michelle Metro stations, and about 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. The Hotel has a very contemporary design without losing the French classic touch. the room was clean and quiet at... More

I believe we ended up with how budget room against the backyard. In the first room I had to stand on my knees in a bathtub to get a shower. I asked for an other room, there I could stand up but when you showered you got water all over. Clean rooms, nice and helpful staff, great location, and it... More

At first glance the lobby is ultra modern. Venture through and you feel as though you are transported back in time. The rooms are updated but have left old architectural details from the original building. I had a front room 5th floor with 2 French door windows (double shutters for the night time) that you could sit in and overlook... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
