The location of the hotel is great. Very short walk down to the river and to the bike hire stations. Not far from the eiffel tower or the markets at Rue Cler. There are some lovely little restuarants around, so lots of choices. There are also two supermarkets just around the corner. The staff were okay, the older man and... More

Room was clean, but basic. There was a lovely courtyard where we had our breakfast, however there wasn't much to choose from. The staff were okay, not that friendly or helpful- everything just seemed pretty average! Not awful but not great either! I also thought the hotel was pricey, however it was handy to Eiffel Tower and shops.

What a treat this small hotel has been. Charming, and attractive, very clean and comfortable and so conveniently located. The staff has been very helpful, calling taxis, offering advice, and generally quite welcoming . I will stay here again and again. Be warned that there is no air conditioning which was no problem in late September . Also the stairways... More

We chose this as much as anything for the location. We've been to the 7th arrondissement before and found it a great base for exploring Paris. It's central, but quiet as it is covered in college and diplomatic buildings. The hotel receptionist was charming and spoke good English. The building is part of long block, but at the back is... We stayed as a group of four in two rooms, one of which was a disabled room. My mother uses a wheelchair and was very happy with the accessibility and the bathroom, which can be a problem in hotels. My parents found their room comfortable. Our room was good as a base for our stay, but it needed a good... More

The 7th arrondisement location is convenient to the Eiffel Tower and St. Germain de Pres sights; however, the Metro stops are quite far, especially when you are toting your own suitcases. The hotel building is charming and has lovely landscaping. As an older building, it has not been updated with air conditioning and you feel it in the summer. Having... More

Lovely building - exposed beams and lots of charm in a great location close the Rue Cler with its good restaurants and shops. Nice room for breakfast and beautiful courtyard. However, while some of the staff are very helpful (the gentleman who served breakfast) the night staff were curt and not very hospitable. Rooms are small - typical for Paris... More

Talk about a little charmer! I really loved this hotel. It is not fancy, in fact it is a bit tattered and worn, but that is part of its Parisian charm. The old building (I believe it was once a convent) is built around a lovely courtyard with climbing ivy and birds that call the inner sanctuary home. We were... More

My wife, son and I stayed at this hotel about 4 years ago, so understand this review is a bit old from that perspective. We found out about this hotel through a recommended list in one of Rick Steve's books. We were VERY happy with this hotel. It was reasonable and comfortable. I'm not the kind of person to use... Family of 5 had a 2 bedroom suite room. Enough space for the centre of Paris and fabulous location for walking anywhere. Local area is full of small restaurants and bars which were all friendly and welcomed us immediately. This is a great value bed in the middle of a major city. Not fancy just full of French character and... More
