We chose this hotel for a business trip. The location is great, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were offered free breakfast to apologize they had been redecorating the facade... We'll be back!

The staff at the hotel are excellent: very helpful, very nice, and all around pleasant. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are quite nice. The location is impossible to beat -perfect for art lovers and anyone who wants to explore St Germain or the environs. It is a very short walk walk to the Louvre and related mega-tourist... More

A nice little European hotel with repeat clientele. My first time staying in the 6th. This hotel was within walking distance to so many things -- shopping, restaurants, cafes, markets, churches, the Seine. Laduree was just around the corner. My room was quiet (away from the street side). The staff was helpful, called their guests by name, made dinner recommendations... More

While the location is wonderful, the hotel itself is very outdated. All of that would be have been fine if there wasn't incredibly loud construction outside of room. Not only did they not tell us that there would be construction, but when we asked to change rooms and there were plenty of free rooms, they were incredibly room. My parents... More

Our room on the 5th floor was compact but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. After lots of walking around Paris, it was lovely to have a bath to relax in - and the shower was good, too, with nice toiletries. On arrival, the reception staff greeted us warmly and the smiley cleaner called the lift for us... More

Stayed here from 26 to 30 Oct 2014. Location is smack dab in St Germain, which is great - plenty of food and art galleries in the immediate vicinity, walking distance from the Louvre and other major attractions. Metro station is not too far off as well. Hotel staff are friendly and all speak English well. Definitely a vital resource... More

Two business colleagues and I yhad the opportunity to stay here for a couple of days this fall. It was a pleasure dealing with the hotel staff, especially Audrey Del Valle! Dear Myron1947, What a pleasure to read that your short stay was so "lovely"! Audrey had a large smile after discovering your nice comment. We stayed several nights in a triple room at Hotel de Seine. Our room had a double and a single bed (true bed, not pull out), a small desk, and a very spacious washroom with shower/tub combo (when showering, no shower curtain/door so floor can get wet but designed for this). Room was clean & comfortable, furnishings a bit worn,... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
