For some odd reason when in Paris I always end up staying in Montparnasse. I have stayed in several hotels there, hence I do claim to have some perspective when it comes to reviewing them. The location of Hotel Terminus Montparnasse is excellent. The metro entrance just in front of the door allows you get a speedy start for the... More

I stayed in the room facing the street and the view was fantastic. I enjoyed seeing the lights and the non-stop tourist traffic. It's Paris and in Paris it's good to be in the middle of all the action. This was a good place to stay for that. There are tour stops just outside the hotel door, the metro is... More

Stayed there for 3 nights on a lovely Paris city break with family. I am affraid I will have to agree with the comments of previous travellers. It is an ok hotel in a very convenient location. The Location: You are 5min from la Gare Montparnasse, you have a metro station right on your doorway (literally) and as a collateral... More

We had initially booked our stay at hotel Comfort- Inn, Montparnasse but when we reached the venue the receptionist informed us that since the rooms were under repair our accommodation is adjusted in this hotel Terminus, just couple of buildings away, for the same price and same service. we were promised internet connectivity at comfort Inn however at Terminus they... A week ago I’ve decided that the best way to celebrate my wife’s BD is by taking her to Paris. We’ve never been in Paris before. After creating a four-day “cultural program” and reading several hotel reviews on the web, I’ve reserved a room in one of 3-star hotels at Montparnasse (not far from Terminus Montparnasse Hotel). Upon arrival our... More

This hotel is better than many of the 3 star hotels in the area around the hotel, as the star rating system can be a little sketchy in Paris at times. I tried a different hotel down the street and had to check out because they lost reservations for a colleague and the rooms were tiny. The Terminus on the... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night based on its location, price and reasonable reviews - but found it to be seriously lacking in a lot of respects. The accommodation Small and outdated. There were stains on one of the pillow slips and the towels were all frayed and worn. There was no shower curtain so when I had... More

Stayed at this Hotel for 4 days during a larger trip to France. After reading many reviews beforehand, and having travelling to Europe in previous years you should accept and prepare yourself for a few things beforehand, which will make your experience good. 1. On Average, hotel room size is much smaller than North American aveage. Accept it. 2. Most... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
