When I vacation in a city, location is important to me and this hotel is in a great location. It's within a short walk of several great neighborhoods. The hotel is located on a quite side street that runs perpendicular to two main streets that are full of the delights of Paris. Metro access is close by. Okay, our room... More

We spent our first two nights in Paris here and were thrilled with the reception we received and the warmth of the room and bath. In fact, this was the BEST bathroom we had on our entire trip. The room and bath looks exactly as it does on the website, and the use of mirrors on the two closet doors... More

Firstly, I cannot comment on the rooms in the annexe nor the ground floor room in the main hotel. We stayed in rooms on the first and third floor of the main hotel, and those rooms were perfect. Close to arrival I was very uncertain, having booked for six women arriving in Paris to share a special few days, and... More

This hotel is wonderful! The staff are incredibly helpful and offered great suggestions for shuttles, resturants, etc. The rooms are very well appointed and the shower is really to die for--- it is wonderful. The hotel was very quiet and super safe. The location cannot be beat, The best part was that I left my jewelry behind in the room... More

We just returned from 17 days in France and this was our most disapointing hotel. I need to point out that I almost always write very positive reviews, but simply cannot for this property. When we checked in we were told we were being upgraded to a room in the annex (ie a half block away in a small building).... More

FIRST THING: The sharp dichotomy of review ratings for this hotel is due almost entirely to which room the reviewer stayed in. Room 10, right next to reception on the ground floor, elicits almost universally negative reviews. Rooms 11 to 14, in the annex down Rue du Petit Musc, engender mixed reviews for a variety of reasons. And rooms 401... More

I had booked the sister hotel Saint-Louis Saintonge, however when I arrived I was told they were overbooked and would I mind moving to this hotel, in the same area. The hotel Saint-Louis Marais looks lovely and the position is good. I was given room 10, which is adjacent to the hotel reception. This room is awful as obviously during... More

No redeeming qualities. Rooms so small you can't get 2 suitcases in and still walk around. Semi close to Notre Dame but ugly street location. Breakfast in a dungeon-like basement. Little selection. Tile floors. Bath towels like paper. A/C didn't work correctly and staff was inept. Only good thing was the shower. Tried to leave and book elsewhere but within... More

Within easy walking distance of Le Marais, les Iles, Rive Gauche. On quiet back street so sleeping was amazing. Authentic non touristy cafes and restos close at hand. Recently renovated with exquisite taste but without any kind of chain feel. All practical stuff just up the street on the main drag - drugstore, boulangerie etc. Perfect!

Were a little concerned after reading some of the reviews on here but as the accommodation was paid for there wasn't a lot we could do. We shouldn't have worried... The hotel is a short walk from either the Bastille or Sully Moorland metro stops. Check in was quick and friendly and we were allocated a room on the first... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
