This little hotel in the St. Germain district was very well situated and nicely staffed with friendly people ready to assist. The decor was modern and colorful with an urban bohemian edge. Our Double Classic room was small, but the rates were reasonable, perfect for a few short nights before we headed down to the Loire Valley. The bathroom seemed... More

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel itself was funky and cool. Small rooms, small lift, small hallways. The staff were very helpful and friendly the only downside is the noise from the outside can be heard in the rooms. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the metro and the traffic outside. I found the rooms not... More

We arrived after 8pm and got a most friendly welcome from the helpful and kind desk agent I forgot his name but he was from Mali, so if you are the owner/manager of this hotel, please give that gentleman a salary bonus. He was extremely efficient and took the time to find us a restaurant in the neighborhood that served... More

This was the cleanest hotel we've been in during our stay in france. The hotel is veryy small and so r the rooms but stylish and modern. The location is fine, its around a 30 min walk to the eiffel tower, and from there you can go anywhere. We took the bus which takes you up to eiffel tower in... More

Just spent 2 nights at Hotel Mayet and I really loved this little hotel. Its location is perfect – in the 6th Arondissment which is smack bang in the classy/Parisian side of Paris – i.e. not many tourists around and lots of very smart shops and cafes. It’s a 2 minute walk to Duroc Metro station and a fifteen minute... More

One of the better hotels I have stayed at in Paris. Lovely location with some cute shops and restaurants nearby. Room was a comfortable size - only small draw back was that the bathroom was tiny and felt like it was in the bedroom. Friendly and helpful staff who made sure our stay was comfortable. Reasonable price too, for location.

We stayed here for five days in October. The room was ultra modern with furnishings to match. It was impressive. The staff were excellent with very good English. When we enquired, one of the staff told us that she learnt her English by watching cartoons on TV. It's a good location here, walking distance to a multitude of restaurants, metro... More

Great clean and modern looking hotel . Small rooms and noisy with doors open but close them and experience instant sound proof ,wonderful. Staff are first rate and helpful, with 24 hr reception. Best mid range hotel in Paris. Very Parisian experience with good sized bathroom. Stayed 4 nights and will return. Location is very central,

I stayed for 2 nights only in this hotel. I arrived a little bit early in the morning around 11 AM, the staff said that there was no room available at that time. He was actually helpful, he offered me the room around 12PM, and only 1 room available at that time on the 1st floor. The room is nice,... More

This hotel is great bc it's: inexpensive for the area, stylish enough; clean; conveniently next to the ducros metro; has great local food shops and restaurants nearby and is a block from the bon marche and a pleasant walk from st germain. It's not too cheesy touristy an area either so you get a nice neighborhood feel. The rooms are... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
