This hotel is situated in a very good area, close to the metro, museums, stores, cafes, etc. It has a good value for money, compared to the rest hotels near by. It is currently being renovated on the outside, so probably picking up a room with street view will not pay off. The room is modern yet quite small and... More

This is a small boutique hotel with small rooms each decorated in an eclectic manner. The room itself is comfotable with good bed and quality linens. Good shower and modern fixtures. A great bakery around the corner for fresh croissants and a kettle to brew your coffee. Friendly staff and well versed in English for directions on check in. A... More

I stayed five nights at the Hotel Mayet, in October 2015. I had a single room on the top floor. The hotel was busy, so I wasn't able to get 'a room with a view'. Mine looked out onto a wall and a drain pipe :( As many people say, Paris rooms are small, and this is no exception. But... More

The hotel have a very friendly staff. However despite the comfort rooms I didn't like the cleaning of the room. Also the breakfast wasn't very varied. The internet however work perfectly, very fast. It's one old building with some renovations made but is not perfect. I believe you find better solutions in Paris to stay for the same range price... More

The room provided to me - a single room was nicely furnished and adequate lighting and furniture. The room had also air conditioning, which is very useful especially during the summer in Paris. The staff was kind and courteous as well. The only thing is that they needed to be is more attentive to refill toiletries after each night. Other... More

We staying in the room for 3 adults and actually it was an apartment! Fresh bakery and boulangerie artisan nearby: 2and 5 minutes walk. Our room had a fully equipped kitchen, we bought all needed for breakfast in nearby carrefour! Near to all sightseeing places. Very nice and competent staff at the reception, special thanks to a wonderful lady who... More

This was a very nice small hotel just off the Rue de Sevres and convenient to lots of shops and grocery and bakeries and a wine shop across from the entrance! Our room was on the4th floor and very tiny but clean and comfortable for a short stay. There was a window that opened onto the ventilation shaft. The front... More

Location ok for access but not very exciting area. Very quirky decor and very small room with no view- one dead plant in a window box looking out at a wall.. Breakfast not provided but tea and coffee facilities in the room and a very very small fridge which didn't function properly. Closest train station not on a main line... More

As a solo traveller, I am more into practicality and convenice yet I would still appreciate and look for a spacious room. This is exactly what Hotel Mayet had to offer. I stayed there in Jan 2015 and enjoyed the excellent location, very close to Duroc metro station and right next to the hotel there are few bakery shops and... More

We were two parents and two adult children sharing apartment #7. It was just yards down the road from the main hotel complex. We really had a great experience. For Paris size rooms, this place was roomy! A very nice size kitchen with small table, stove, refrigerator. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by, and the walk to Duroc metro... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
