Stayed with friend in 3 double rooms in this small hotel. Small rooms that are cleaverly decorated so that everything has a place. However the beds we're too hard. Very friendly and helpful staff on every shift. Breakfast buffet was not of the bigger kind but good still. Location very convenient, near tubstops but if you like walking you can... More

Just back from 3 nights here. What a great find. Clean, comfortable rooms, tiny, but you don't spend much time in your hotel when in Paris. Good price. The decor is lovely, the shower powerful. My husband who is 6ft 3in found the cubicle a bit small and awkward to use but felt that the power of it more than... More

It's a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. The walk to the Metro is very short. There are many restaurants nearby on Montparnasse. The staff are very friendly and speak good English. They helped me with convenient stores and restaurants, etc. The room is modern well designed. It's not spacious but the bathtub and large window compensates for it.

We loved this small hotel! The decor was fun, the rooms were clean, the location was great, but most importantly the staff was excellent. We are not French speakers, so finding the staff fluent in English and super helpful was wonderful. Two different staff members helped us by making phone calls, calling cabs, giving us directions, etc.; all in the... More

We stayed here to save a few euros compared to places nearer the river. The location was in a pretty seedy area, though the metro was close by so you could get out easily. Rooms are tiny and uncomfortable, though reasonably clean. Unhelpful staff.

Very well located on a quiet street near shops, restaurants, cafés, metro station and the Saxe-Breteuil market. A 15 minute stroll to Luxembourg Gardens and a few minutes from shopping street rue de Rennes. Clean, with a cheerful modern decor and good amenities -- including free wifi, in-room safe, a courtesy tray with kettle and tea and coffee (replenished daily),... More

Great location being only 1-2minute walk from the Duroc Metro. It is also easy to go visit everywhere you want to go in Paris as it is pretty central. Nowhere seems too far. The service was great coming into the hotel, very friendly and helpful! Check in and out was quick. The reception area, lift, passageways and rooms are all... More

What a lovely discovery off the tourist track in Paris, with an excellent rapport qualite/prix. Small room, lift, corridor, but big welcome, creative design and lively use of color throughout. Guests' comfort and convenience are primordial here, with great bed, large walk-in shower, lighting for reading and in bathroom, ingenious design and use of small spaces, full-length mirror, water boiler... This little hotel in the St. Germain district was very well situated and nicely staffed with friendly people ready to assist. The decor was modern and colorful with an urban bohemian edge. Our Double Classic room was small, but the rates were reasonable, perfect for a few short nights before we headed down to the Loire Valley. The bathroom seemed... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
