Pros - very convenient for Metro & for Roland Garros. Good bakeries, food shops & bistros within 5 mins walk & supermarket opposite for fruits, bottled water etc. Room size fine, bed comfortable & shower clean. Cons - agreed carpet grubby, room smelt strongly of paint, had to have windows open in hot weather & get noise of traffic. No... More

Stayed at Hotel Murat for the weekend of 28th April for two nights. The hotel and rooms are small but typical to Paris. We stayed on the top floor so made good use of the small yet, good fun lift. One person and small luggage would fit, guess who took the stairs! Rooms well appointed, comfy bed, excellent power shower... More

The room was small with unfinished decoration, tiny bathroom that had peeling paintwork, very small shower cubicle with an incomprehensible temperature gauge - either scalding or freezing. Don't know about soundproofing but our first floor room was so noisy we asked to change rooms but were refused because hotel was full. Heard neighbour's conversations, toilet and 'bedroom sport' activity at... More

On arrival at the reception desk the receptionist was arguing on the phone! Carpets throughout were worn and shabby which made me feel very uncomfortable and was not very welcoming The ensuite bathroom was the size of a broom cupboard, it did not have any ventilation and was situated only 2 feet away from our bed. Also there was very... More

The croissants and baguettes at breakfast were so fresh and good-I still crave them, I'd stay at Hotel Murat again just for the bread. It was also clean and the staff was nice. Although it is located a bit away from the city center, it was very convenient to the metro. The neighborhood itself was lovely. The room was small... More

First the bad ones - (to help the audience) 1. Elevator- Check my pic. The smallest I have seen in my 27 years. It looks like a UNESCO World heritage site :) Kudos to the guy who could think of sneaking this in at the midst of revolving stairs. It can fit two thin people like us or 1 person... More

We stayed here for a long weekend so we could have a look around Paris, ideally located for buses, resturants and bars. Continenal breakfast was ample with fresh bread and croissants. The staff were great, the guy on reception sold us Disney tickets at an unbelievable price and we had a day out we had not expected but thoroughly enjoyed.... More

This is a tupical chic french hotel, there it is perfectly in keeping with the area it is in and you immediately feel at home. All the people that work there helped with every question we had and went out of their way to ensure that we had the best time there; even acting as translator when we were ordering... More
