This hotel is very clean, friendly and has everything you need. We were on the top floor facing the attractive courtyard and it was extremely quiet. The continental style buffet breakfast was lovely, a good choice items and delicious fresh croissants and pastries too. The location is great, easy walking distance to 3 metro stations enabling travel all over the... More

Amazing location, with 3 subway stations near the Hotel, and also bus stations. Very clean, all the staff was kind. The breakfast is well served: fruit, yogurth, eggs, coffee, ham, cheese and salami, bread, orange juice. Even thow being surrounded by restaurants and bars, the Hotel itself it's a very quiet place with no noise.

A birthday celebration with a swift visit by Eurostar from London. We had stayed here before about four years ago and liked it, particularly for St Germain location - near Mabillon. The left bank has a great atmosphere and the small shops are charming - unlike London which seems to be all chains. Also La Perle is near Bon Marche... More

This is a lovely hotel, ideally located withing walking distance to Notre Dame, Luxembourg gardens and the Louvre. There's also a bus stop just up the road and the metro station is a short walk. There are lots of lovely little shops, cafes, bars and restaurants nearby which I wish we'd had more time to visit. The staff were very... More

I stayed with my daughter for 2 nights in March. We arrived by train and Metro from CDG airport and found the hotel easily. Fabulous location on a quaint street, with some super cafes and restaurants within walking distance, including Cafe de Flore. The room was small but perfect. Newly refurbished with a well equipped bathroom. The reception staff were... More

Excellently located in a trendy area, just off the main road in a quiet street, and less than a 3 minute walk to three tubes (Mabillon, St Germaine and St Sulpice). These offer a direct tube to Gare du Nord (Eurostar). All staff were excellent, and spoke to us in French and English. Even the cleaners were polite, greeting us... More

Set in a perfect location with good bars and restaurants nearby. Tube line connected to Gard du Nord nearby (so perfect for those arriving by Eurostar). Other tube line stations close by. Friendly and welcoming reception staff. Reasonably priced and clean. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment.

in January, I stayed at La Perle for the third time. I last reviewed this hotel in 2012 and I am pleased to say that I was greeted at reception with smiles and a warm welcome back. I booked an Executive Room this time, which was on an upper floor and it was extremely spacious with a generously sized bathroom.... More

My friend and I had booked a room with two beds, but when we arrived, we found the reserved room far too small. The twin beds were pushed together like a double bed, and there was no room to separate them. We asked to change, and for a reasonable amount more, were given a bigger room, Room One on the... More

Centrally located for the Spanish District two blocks away from the st germain des press metro station. We had queen size bed with flatscreen window overlooking patio, walls were not 100% noise proof, bathroom was modern with all the amenities. Typical paris small elevator, good continental breakfast with many options. Staff was very helpful on restaurants, and activities nearby, as... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
