Loved La Perle. Rooms in Paris are typically small, but this room was well thought out, with a good size desk for working, lots of storage, a great bathroom and a large window opening into the courtyard. The wifi was quick and easy to use (no password!). Staff was quick to help and friendly. Loved it.

The previous reviews say it all. We absolutely loved this hotel and would be hard pressed to find fault in any way. Our room was tastefully decorated and good sized. Since we needed a third bed (chair was pull out bed) we lost some space, but it was still good. I imagine the room would be plenty spacious as a... More

This review is a year overdue. In Paris you get what you pay for and the La Perle was adequate for our needs. Quite close to most museums but a little hike to Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triumphe. The best about the location was that it was a 2 minute walk to the famous Les Deux Maggots cafe where... More

Really nice little hotel in the Saint Germain des Prés area. Our rooms were very small but comfortable and clean. It's close to many good restaurants and shopping and not far from many of the major attractions.

After reading all the positive reviews, I was still a little hesitant on booking this hotel... I wanted to be on the Left Bank, and also wanted a smaller, friendly hotel.. finally, I wanted a hotel that was just steps from the metro and Boulevard Saint-Germain. This hotel had all this and more... the rooms are very nice and the... More

We have just returned from Paris with friends to celebrate Dave's 60th, we stayed at this hotel as it was in a good location and the reviews for it were really good, and they were right. We had two rooms on the second floor 21 and 22 and there was no other rooms on this side of the hotel which... More

We decided on this hotel on a recommendation from Rick Steve's guide to Paris and my own somewhat compulsive additional research. Every email inquiry was answered promptly and politely. We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm not expected in Paris, and offered whatever help we needed when requested. Our room was small (to be expected in Paris) but charming and... More

Nice clean and quiet room with a large wardrobe and safe, and a nice bath. A very comfortable and spacious bed, and even if it was a heat wave and 37c in paris the room temperature was cool and wonderful. A nice breakfast, and especially the orance juice tasted wonderful. We were leaving Paris in the evening and the hotel... More

The title of this review says it all! We recently stayed here for three nights in an executive double room. The room and bathroom were huge compared with any Paris hotel we have previously stayed in, and very clean and well appointed. The room was also very quiet (we overlooked a courtyard at the rear of the hotel and its... More

I have been staying intermittently at La Perle for over 20 years. It has always had a boutique flavor, even before boutique hotels came to be! Located in St. Germaine de Près, it is surrounded by excellent cafes, bistros and some jazz clubs. It is not a big property, so book early!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
