I could not believe that this hotel was rated only for 2 stars. Many 4 stars hotel is much worst. The hotel staff is kind, polite and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, the room is clean and regularly cleaned. I am very happy that I have found this hotel

This review is a bit overdue but this hotel was excellent! It satisfied our every need for our short stay in Paris. Choosing a hotel in Paris can be a bit daunting because there are so many, but we were very pleased with our choice. The rooms are small but have everything you need and are sparkling clean. We had... More

The hotel was great. Very small rooms and you can hear the people above you walking around and the floors are creaky. The buffet breakfast was pretty good-probably not worth 12e. The staff was very helpful and friendly

Great location in the lovely St Germain area, near to good restaurants, shops and coffee bars. Very friendly and helpful staff. I have tried many different hotels in Paris over many years and rarely have I found one that I want to go back to . But this hotel is an exception! Near to the metro and RER at Luxembourg... More

That was my second time in this hotel. Location is just perfect: in a very quiet street, close to metro stations Odeon and Saint-Michel, RER B Saint-Michel and many restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shops, book stores, etc. It is only 10 minutes to Notredame and 20 minutes to Musée du Louvre and Orsée on foot. The room is small, but clear,... More

You just can't beat the location and price for close-in Paris. I take the RER in from the airport to Luxembourg Gardens, saving more $, time and hassle. The rooms are always clean, the new lobby has a small, comfortable waiting area with Paris library, baggage holding room, and restroom. Breakfast on a previous 2013 trip was just fine with... More

Great location, not a bad price (about 130 EUR, but also had a weekend deal). This was suggested to us by a family member who found this place years ago. It is now our go-to hotel in Paris. Walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. Seemed to be safe area, and it had decent shops and restaurants near by.... More

This hotel was very conveniently located in a nice quiet area of Saint Germain. It was within walking distance of a number of attractions, Notre Dame & Louvre, within walking distance to metro stations, restaurants and shops. Also not too far from airports for an reasonably priced Taxi ride. The hotel and reception staff were very friendly and helpful from... More

In the 6th, on a quiet street. I have stayed her four times, most recently in July of 2014. Rooms are small, but it has never bothered me. No air conditioner. Street noise is troublesome only temporarily. I consider it "my hotel" in Paris, though I rented an apartment for a week in 2013 in the Marais. The breakfasts are... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
