Really cheap hostel, with very good location, subway station near it. The staff was really helpful and nice, always trying to help us. Good rooms, tidy and clean and the neighbours very friendly. I bring with me a very good friendship. Nothing bad to stand out, everything was perfect.

Group charged twice for one night at fault of staff member. No apology, acceptance of fault or cash back given. In fact the hostel made us feel like we were being cheap by wanting your own money back and were incredibly rude and unhelpful. No refunds either if you change your plans and are not staying at the hostel. Made... More

Pent a weekend at room 407. A simple Auberge, ideal if you're searching for a place quiet place to sleep in and leave your things while exploring Paris. Properly clean; bed linen well washed and not so-worn looking; room locker efficient and of safe appearence (digital code system, also). The fact that there's no elevator (at AIJ at least) can... The worst hostel I've ever been in all my life. Dirty, without all the thinks which makes a place decent. I have no word to describe my experience. It's sad to see that these are the places where young people are welcomed, and it's expensive!!

Our experience in this hostel was pretty good. We had a private room quite warm, clean and comfortable, no frills. The common showers were also clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast is included in the price, and although it is always the same (bread, butter, jam, pastries and juice), can have coffee, chocolate or... well , the Location of the hostel is very convenient as it's in the heart of Paris , next to La bastille , the price is fair , and it's clean , but all the rest is very terrible , the double deck bad is very uncomfortable , and very noisy if you have someone moving a lot sleeping with... More

The breakfast is very basic. The wifi just works after 12:30. You cant stay in the hostel between 11am to 3pm. Just one plug in the bedroom, is impossible to recharge mobile in the room. Terrible shower!!!

Location: You can reach the city centre (Hotel de Ville etc.) by foot within 30-45 minutes. The ground is flat, so this is easily manageable if you do not mind walking a bit. A metro station is just around the corner and the tickets for the metro are rather cheap (one ride no matter where for €1.70) so that you... More

If you're looking for something cheap, only to sleep in and keep your belongings - you're looking for AIJ. You can find it in a nice neighbourhood, not so far from city centre, well communicated with the rest of Paris (it's only a few minutes from Place Bastille, where you can get at least 3 metro lines). The staff we... More

Staying in Bercy / Nation

Neighborhood Profile
Bercy / Nation
Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to this calming neighborhood where real Parisians make their homes.
