Good accomodation if you want to go out and see the city (you should get out at 11h because the rooms will get cleaned untill 15h). Easy to get there and located near some nice places near the Bastille. The hostel is clean, the staff is friendly and there is served some kind of breakfast. Just keep in mind the... More

For the price and location I would still stay here again without a second thought! Firstly: location. Staying in Paris you'll find that the majority of the hostels are situated in the Montmartre district, which is rather far out from the centre of the city. Bastille on the other hand is oh so slightly closer, which makes a big difference... More

I had the unfortunate 'pleasure' of staying at the AIJ twice whilst on holiday in Europe. Not only is this hostel very inconvenient in terms of location but the amenities are sorely lacking. We were on the 4th floor both times, which involved carrying our luggage up a ridiculous amount of dangerously narrow stairs. The rooms were quite dirty and... More

Me and my brother stayed here for three days and it wasn't so good. First of all, they control the internet. The access is from 12:30 p.m. To 1:30 a.m., and it doesn't work in the bedrooms. The bedroom that we slept was good, no ac or fan, but there was a sync where we could brush our teethes. The... More

This hostel is cheap and that was why we had chosen it. BUT, we didn't enjoy our stay. It was summer and it was very hot with almost no possibility of getting some air. The neibourhood and the hostel were noisy. We didn't enjoy the shared space, or lack of... (only tables, no coaches...) Many details annoyed us : to... More

We stayed at the Hostel for 12 days as part of an art tour. The dorm.room we stayed in had 3 beds and had lots of space. The rooms are clean as well as the bedding. In the mornings breakfast consists of mainly bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt and fruit but this normal as an european breakfast. The Wi-fi is only... More

The hostel is faaar crappier than the Auberge Internationale des Jeunes in Brussels - the rooms are very small, haven't been renovated for a long time. The hostel does not provide free towels, soap, they do not offer a sheet for blankets, there is no air conditioner (and it was 37 degrees in Paris at the time, we could barely... More

This hostel really disappoint me. The "free" breakfast consists of a small piece of bread, a juice box and coffee. If you want more, you have to pay extras. Also, they block the wifi signal from 1am to noon. You cannot access your room from 11am to 3pm. It says it's for people between 18 and 35, but many kids,... More

So surprised to see this place listed. Went there some years ago during a trip to Paris.( which is not the date showing, it was before, but no option for that.) The place was clean, as much as you can expect. Private bathroom, more like a closet, Continental breakfast with the real French baguette. Very convenient location, subway, supermarket, laundry,... My husband and I booked a few nights here through Hostelbookers.com for a decent price. This was my first hostel experience. We booked a private room, and it had two twin size bunk beds. There was a sink in the room, as well as a safe. There are tall cubby holes for your belongings. The bathrooms and showers on our... More

Staying in Bercy / Nation

Neighborhood Profile
Bercy / Nation
Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to this calming neighborhood where real Parisians make their homes.
