I stayed here for a total of about a week and a half in May/June. I thought the staff was perfectly polite and could speak English well when I couldn't figure out what I wanted to say in French. I stayed in rooms with 2 bunk beds-- 4 people in each room. Rooms were small, so were bathrooms but hey,... more

I read some pretty bad reviews before I went to the hostel But in my opinion it was fine, the staff were friendly enough! the breakfast was basic, just a baguette, jam and butter and a drinks machine. but you can't expect more for the price you're paying it was nice! i'd go there again. they had internet machine things... more

No lies... this was the most horrible place I have ever stayed. Aside from the daily room lock-out from 10 am to 4 pm (!), dirty bathrooms, and awful 'breakfast', this hostel MISPLACED MY PASSPORT from the safe!! This caused me so much anguish, having to cancel my train trip to London and thinking I would miss my flight home.... more

i liked the location of this hostel. The main thing that let it down was the rude staff. not helpful at all. 'what is it, im tired ' the guy at the desk said to me when i was trying to collect my key. i think they should employ new staff! the room we had was very very basic, it... more

This hostel is nothing fancy. The room was in no way charming, but it was clean and there was a sink so we didn't have to walk all the way to the bathroom to brush our teeth. There is only one toilet per gender on each floor and the showers are awful. You have to throw your clothes and towel... more

This hostel will leave you with a lasting memory of the really awful time you had to spend there. The staff work hard but are instructed not to help. The boss is useless for assisting anyone. We had a private room with 2 bunks and one shower...the toilet ... only one was on the 5th floor and our room was... more

We spent 2 nights at the Auberge. It was in an excellent location and we were able to walk to Notre Dame with no problem. There were lots of nice restaurants near the Auberge. We spent our first night in a ground floor room. It had 2 bunk beds and an en-suite shower room. It was clean but very basic.... more

Some youth hostels are hidden gems, this isn't one. It's expensive, the rooms are basic and don't even have a plastic chair to sit on, the bathrooms terrible, with no hooks to hang up clothes while showering, broken showerheads and cold water. Breakfast a joke, a stale bread roll, and its expensive. The only saving grace is that its located... more

I have never had such a painful experience trying to book accommodation. My partner and i were trying to book accommodation and this was the only place that had a double room availbale at a reasonable price for the particular weekend. First my booking was cancelled because my card was faulty, then was told i couldn't book because they 'don't'... more

I stayed in a 2-bed private room for 5 nights. Shared toilets and showers were clean, the room too. But the two-storeyed beds were army-styled, creaky and terribly sore! So had bad sleep and sometimes also because of noise from the corridor. No bed-clothes, only bare covertures! Otherwise it was great: nice familiar staff and also tasty, fresh breakfast. Other... more
