Nice desk staff. Very helpful. Clean hotel. The room and bathroom was very large. Double sink, full tub and shower and separate toilet area. Probably the biggest hotel bathroom I have seen and modern fixtures and plumbing. There were French doors that opened out to the street in front of the hotel. We like the hustle and bustle of street... More

Had a great stay here! The location is unbeatable you're right near Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, Il de Cite. Even better you're surrounded by tons of cute cafés, bars and shops in the Marais. The rooms and amenities are basic but very spacious and quaint. I was on the top floor and felt like I lived in a pensione... More

We enjoyed our Junior suite No 17 with a sitting room and three windows and a balcony. Extremely quiet. Extremely well situated in a great quarter near the metro no 1 line, highly convenient. Tapestries on the walls, exposed beams, old prints. Delightful. Bathroom on the smallish side, a separate toilet, also small. A minibar in this particular room. The... More

Stayed at this Boutique hotel in the heart of the Marais district for 3 nights after intensive searching online. Location of the hotel is convenient for the Metro, good diverse restaurants, great little shops around. Walking distance to the Notre Dame and the Louvre.Room size average for Paris, clean and comfortable. Carpeting in our room could use freshening up.Offered a good... More

Very close to Notre Dame. Easy walk to cafes and shopping. Lovely hip area. We asked for a room facing the courtyard. Yes the room was a bit quirky, but the bathroom was large. The view out our window was charming. And let me say the staff was helpful, warm and welcoming. Overall a lovely experience in Paris. I will... More

My friend and I stayed five days in the Hotel de la Bretonnerie recently. The hotel is very charming and was comfortable. It was my fifth trip to Paris but my first time in the Hotel de la Bretonnerie. I love the Marais area of Paris and this hotel is perfectly situated and as others have already written, it is... Having reviewed this property before I was a fan. Until we came back and were given a room on the top floor, basically where the roof slopes. Certainly atmospheric with the wooden beams but try walking upright through the room. You literally could not be more than 5 foot 4 to be able to navigate around the room. So basically... More

Have just spent 4 nights in the Hotel de la Bretonnerie, situated smack dab in the heart of the Marais, within walking distance of multiple metro stations, bus stops, and sights such as The Pompidou Centre, Notre Dame, the Museum of Jewish Art and History and multiple other places speedily accessable by metro. The staff were all polite, pleasant and... More

I've been to this little charming jewel of a hotel for years. Always requesting the same charming rooms. The staff is very accommodating. Ask for Karen who is very knowledgable. Breakfast is as you would expect at any high end european hotel, and well the location is simply tres Parisienne! Wonderfully situated among museums, sites, river boat tours, gay bars,... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighorhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
